It has only 20 bullits, but hits harder.
When playing, the weapon is way better at winning you engagments, even at a distance. The normal thompson is better at maintaining prolonged firefights and killing larger groups of enemies.
I would say it is a nice pick up

Its the same as the USMC squad ?
No, because it does not hit as hard as the event thompson.
The USMC does les damage and I believe its firerate is also lower but I am not sure.
That at least makes it cooler I guess.
Wish we got as much swords for other factions

Nice event and happy birthday.
Yet I feel that this would have been a great opportunity to bring back all the old GO weapons and vehicles for a limited time.
Yeah that kinda anoying. I already have to and used mine in engineer squads as the assaulter, that worked pretty well.

Please do, not only one time and not only as an event.
We seriously need more maps, not one but multiple.
more weapons are also needed, such as a BRV mortar, a better anti-tank for BRIII and/or BRIV.
I really like the Japanese faction but sadly they get borring pretty quick do to the lack of maps. If you update them their faction will get more popular. Adding manchuria map will boost both Japanese faction but also Soviet, which also has a lower player base.
Sorry if I sound a bit to serious, but the fact is that Japanese factions is suffering and it sometimes feels as if they are only being ignored even more due to that fact.

i would tolerate that skin. 
Yeah with very limited depression and horizontal movement. It’s heat rounds can barely damage KV-1.
We need a buff to those rounds or nerf KV-1 armor like they did with T-50.

The Thompson is chambered in .45 ACP
The event Thompson is chambered in .30 Carbine
.30 Carbine is basically what if America invented the intermediate cartridge, but we did it before the technological advancements of WWI

Americans got some reall nice stuf this year, Soviet and German a bit more but stil, Americans got some really solid stuf. Japs have like, a pistol.
Oh and of course an rocket artillery squad everyone gets.
So, yes Americans get very little, but Americans can just wait until the next events unlike japs which never really get anything.
Not to say the swords are not nice, they are, but Japs already have swords in the TT so its nothing that will significantly alter the gameplay experience.
