With OBT starting soon, I would like to suggest a new spin on the current gameplay modes. It would be the giant terrain maps already in use, but each battle is for a specific sector of the map. You would win or lose a match, then the outcome of that match would determine the frontlines of the overall terrain map. This would allow for larger battle maps and lots of match map variety. Your frontlines winning the terrain map would give a large campaign XP reward to incentivize more serious play. This mode would be named āOperationā mode.
I really like the idea of āEnduring Confrontationā in Enlisted, however it would need some serious tweaks, but what are you describing is more similar to WT WW2 mode which tbh was pretty much a failure. Enduring confrontation takes place on one huge map where it is technicaly possible to strike back even after loosing the ground, that wouldnĀ“t be the case in Enlisted if it would be in form of separate connected matches with some final result after all fighting ends. (If I understood you correctly)
But, since each campaign already takes place on one huge map, it would make sense for Moscow (as an example) to divide it into multiple operations running at the same time, which would consist of connected enlarged battlefields of already existing āaccessibleā maps.
Enduring Confrontation =/= World War mode
I think heās talking about a frontline mode within the match, not an overarching campaign. Quite literally RB EC.
I personally think there are more pressing matters for the devs to work on.
(P2W stuff, balance issues, etc)
After that, I donāt see why not to add this, but until that stuff is fixed itās a hard no for me
For real, these NEED to be fixed in Open Beta.
It would be fine game mode
I think first of all we need something like a game mode selector since everyone wants to play invasion and assualt, not conquest.
I have to admit, I donāt like conquest very much, but the gameplay makes it for me, just worried we would split popā¦
try this, i make it, well tested,
