"Emergency landing"-like mechanic for tanks

It’s just a suggestion nothing here is supposed to be taken seriously

For balance reasons, I don’t think it should be in the spawn area. Instead, it should be toward the side of the map well within the play zone. This would keep greyzone campers away from being able to utilize this mechanic. I do think that it is a worthwhile idea though!

That’s very reasonable idea.

But I still don’t like this suggestion overall.

Good point.
Though it kind of doesn’t make sense to retreat towards the enemy. I can’t really think of any sensible explanation.

You wouldn’t be “retreating toward the enemy” unless you were sitting in the greyzone. Which as far as I am concerned is an exploit.
If you are actually up in the fight, its just a matter of driving to a point on the side of the map.

More like a feature at this point.

Oh yeah. Placing “retreat point” on the edge near the spawn but still not in grey zone could actually work.
Though I wonder if such place won’t be saturated with mines. That would kind of defeat the purpose.

If it is saturated with mines, so be it. That just means someone took the time to walk over there and do it. Plus, if you suspect the area may be mined, use your eyes to look for them, even if it means jumping out of your tank with a soldier and looking for mines. They are quite large and ultimately not difficult to spot, especially when they are on the road.

I wasn’t the one that brought it up first on this one. I just added my two cents.

I don’t see any other suggestion of a fix.

fix for what part?

Fix for possible overuse by camping players.

Hey did you play Stalingrad today (with a BT tank)?

I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with “camping” and it is a normal element of gameplay. If I’m a Sniper a lot of times I will be way in the back to perform my role, what should I be right at the front line. Obviously it’s not black and white, depending on the situation I may be up close but regardless.

A lot of maps do have opportunities for flanking certain routes. There are also many ways to deal with “campers”, planes, tanks, snipers, mortars. It’s funny I had a duel with an enemy sniper across the map, both us in the back of our zones, I got most of his guys, he got some of mine, and he ended up headshotting me. See that’s a counter. And even then camping is very situational. Regardless camping can be a very valid strategy. This game is a sandbox. Theoretically at best they could increase the play area

Honestly I find most complaints of campers in games boils down into
“Why U kill me!?! U no kill me! I kill U! gAmE bRoKeN!!!
In fact that argument could literally be applied to anything, getting killed by snipers, mortars, artillery, tanks, planes, etc

Is this a feature in game that I don’t know about, or a suggestion. Or do you mean the landing strips in the Pacific

No I did not I’m an axis zealot And my username is here is in game

This should be a gadget for the AT class. How do you think it should work. Should it be like one of those robots from Battlefield 4 where you can “see” through it

Its an existing game mechanic. If you land a plane “safely” (as long as it doesn’t blow up essentially), and exit the plane, you receive 100 points and you only have to cycle 1 squad instead of 2 to get your plane back.
It incentivizes taking the time and risk to land the plane rather than just crashing it.

Could be used by the “radio” class, as this thing was remote controlled…

Or a new class completely, who specializes in laying mines. (Would prevent the large mine bag for everyone nightmare).

Game is still young, I’m sure they’ll add many new stuff as time goes.
