lol
i completely agree.
but apparently, the reason why necroposting is bad, it’s because according to moderators, the thread will contains old/outdated/false info, which leads to be the first thing people will see, and create a chain of reactions.
so i have been told.
i don’t like it either. but it is what it is.
only exceptions, are in the mods / modification section.
Generally, we, the moderators, close old posts because only one person usually comments, often a complaint or a minor addition to a suggestion.
This can visually remove from top a well-thought-out suggestion that someone took the time to write from the list of new topics.
shouldn’t you close the topic now?
Yeah, I could see that but not for things that are only a month old especially things that are just suggestion posts or posts talking about a specific feature’s uses.
For posts talking about updates, bugs, or suggested features that have been added since the post, it would make sense for the rule to only apply to things like that.
For the most part Enlisted forums consists of reposted content which drowns out well thought out posts far more than someone replying in a month-old posts.
I replied in a post giving a potential use for in-game feature nobody uses (aka supply drops), which wasn’t a complaint or minor addition.
The rule is very flawed and should be adjusted is all I’m saying
There’s nothing stopping you from creating a new thread. As mentioned earlier, older threads may contain out of date content or other wrong information that can be misleading.
That’s why we close them.
And this thread has been answered several times now, which is why I’m now closing it.
Topic answered.
