unless they add something cool like ISU-152BM than prob no, the HEAT shell in war thunder in it is post war so u wont be able to take on a Jagdtiger.
Lots of other options avail for soviets, and with the event T34-100 + now dual KV2s, theyre definitely not complaining; this is mostly just about vehicle variety.
KV-2 for preemie has an MG
KV-2 for free doesn’t
There’s your difference. Think of it like the preemie vs event paratroopers, except it’s just TT. Or exactly like the new partisans coming out

Be happy - now you can take two KV2 into battle - still a very powerful advantage
But you mostly buy the tank for the 152mm gun and not the 7.92mm one.
So anyone who paid for the 152mm gun got finessed out of 50 bucks if he would have not bought it if he knew about the TT one coming.
And the premium was still one of the latest premiums added.

personally i dont like this difference cause it just makes it seem like p2w advantage.
some of them also have advantage over TT counterparts with better shells or some other small advantage.

Exept there have been free versions promised the moment they were sold and not only a few months later.
Edit: And the weapons are way more diffrent exept for the “special” USSR ones.

You also can get out from hatch as commander on premium KV 2. On free - no. It’s pretty serious disadvantage…

yeah, but like, no, add it, the premium people can now run 2, and still has premium benefits.
I’m all for unique and fun vehicles still being free just that premium versions can be first, like they did with this, and have more benefits.
Honestly. Standard and iconic equipment has no business being premium only. Should be in tech tree.
Im still pissed (have been for years) that a large amount of the commonwealth standard iconic equipment/vehicles are premium only…or lend lease.
Buuut yeah…premium should get a little bonus something…machinegun counts i think
