I still belive 40 levels was just a level stated because…
There is so much content one can add on any current campaign that wouldnt make sence to cap it around 40.
Still tank squads with only 1 vehicle
Plane squads with only 1 vehicle
Level 1 squads or level 2 with yet to see level 3 variants.
Weapons yet to be seen again or more added
Campaigns like berlin we are yet to see level 2 bombers, level 3 tankers or level 3 assaulters and are already at level 33.
We are still on beta with 35 max campaign right now, I expect way way more levels as we go or a diferent progression system implemented.
Tbh, rather have them add 3 levels every batlepass “forever” than have a campaign that we don’t see apcs, bikes, other vehicle types, more planes, more tanks and so on.
They have a unlimited but limited supply of weapons, vehicles or toys to add on every campaign. I rather have them one day, than miss the opportunity to play with them

Tbh after quick search I can’t find any info about patronentrommel in africa.
I guess it makes sense as MG34 itself had problems with sand and dust so adding complex mag on top of it would be a shoot in the foot

Yes, certian weapons should be kept out. This is one of the reasons Tunisia is so unique and fun.
