Just want to leave some positive feedback about that feature. Last week, after a tiresome day, I sat back to play. I was really looking forward to it, and right on my 1st match I got one of my favorite maps (Maisky Forestry), that I hadn’t played in ages. The play was going very well, two very skilled and balanced teams facing each other. We took the 1st objective and started crossing the river, great ambience, everything feeling epic. However, soon after crossing the river and setting a rally point, my computer crashed due to GPU failure (GPU’s fault, not the game’s).
I was devastated, and on the verge of tears. My great experience was just cut short and ruined, and I was missing one hell of a match. All I had left to do was re-start the computer. I then instantly opened the game and, to my relief, there was an option to rejoin the match, which I did.
My team, surely missing an experienced player like me, had taken some casualties and were struggling to capture the 2nd objective, which was half-taken. But after I rejoined, after a few minutes we were eventually able to do it, and moved on to a very close and hard-fought victory in the end.
It ended up being my most fun match of the entire week. And I really want to give thanks for that feature, which worked perfectly and saved my experience.
