I feel…(FEEL) that in the OBT det packs received some sort of nerf. I am having tanks survive (although damaged) more than usual.
I agree.
The tanks currently are simply too difficult to knock out. The explosive charges are not reliable. And you only have one per soldier.
Players that can handle tanks well are taking the fun out of Enlisted when they drive around capture points without anybody being able to knock them out.
The PAK (anti tank gun) might sound like a solution but it takes time to deploy, often you cannot deploy it due to terrain issues where you actually NEED it to be and then the ammunition is limited with no way to replenish the ammunition. And only engineers can deploy it.
To make matters worse other players take charge of a deployed PAK and then fire all the AP shells at infantry so that when you need to use it the PAK no longer has AP ammunition.
And most crucial of all, the PAK has a limited field of view, so it can be easily outflanked by a tank and cannot do anything about it.
I understand that tank players need to have fun and that tanks need to be useful, but the same applies to counters to tanks.
Currently in Enlisted the tanks are not countered in any fun and reliable manner by foot soldiers.
I would like authentic anti-tank tactics and anti-tank counters in Enlisted.
Take a look at this 1943 German Army training movie (called “Männer gegen Panzer” meaning “Men against Tanks”).
Take note of how land mines and explosive charges were taught to be used against tanks in the training movie.
Practically none of what is in the training movie is possible in Enlisted. That should change.
All the authentic anti tank weapons and tactics that were used against tanks are simply not available/possible currently in Enlisted. Often I find myself standing next to a stationary enemy tank with no weapon that can reliable do anything against it.
This has to change.
Here are some of the key anti-tank weapons that are currently missing in Enlisted, I am sure you are aware that these exist. I would like to see them included in Enlisted to counter the tank issue.
Geballte Ladung (Bundled Charge):
These were already used in WW1 by German Soldiers as can be seen in this WW1 photograph of a German Stoßtrupp (Assault Troop) soldier:
Hafthohlladung (Adhesive Hollow Charge, a Magnetic Anti Tank Mine), a MUST HAVE in my opinion in Enlisted:
Panzerwurfmine (literally armour throwing mine):
The Panzerfaust (there were several models with different maximum range options):
The Panzerschreck (also called Ofenrohr):
These weapons really should be in Enlisted, with each being available according to their authentic introduction date.
Actually HE of the M3 (and the M8) is way more reliabe against the Puma than AP.
I have almost a 90% success rate in restroying tanks cooking for 4-5 seconds before trowing.
That 10% left splits in my bad throw, tank moving, enemy killing me just before tossing and some silly Hit box thingy.
That 90% applys per throw… so i just go to my next soldier and toss another and tank is gone.
In fact imo tanks are so easy to destroy when cooking demo packs than as a tanker im panicking every time i hold position for moren than 5 seconds.
I know you been here since A. But its seems your squad lacks of demo packs and cooking it. I have a totally different impression.
I understand you and partially agree but cursing at the developers wont help. We have to show them respect when we have concerns.
puma is straight up broken/OP. it eats all shots from Stuart. one thing that needs to change is the traction the puma gets with its tires, should get alot less off road.
Sorry to quote the whole thing - but yep, this is my experience. They are not particularly difficult to kill at all - I might only be at 50% - but when you have lots and lots on infantry and only 1-2-3 tanks it’s a pretty simple exchange still.
A good infantry support will protect a tank, but there’s precious little of that around.
They need the AT squads to be available earlier imho, because if the tanks stay behind the infantry and laser kids with MGs then there is no far reaching weapon that can even scratch them, not behind a blob of infantry. It is pretty easy to take them out from houses with TNT but if they never get close then that is a moot point. Airpower works I guess if the Ivan/Chad/Hans didn’t get wasted on vodka before flying and misses the tank. In addition, I think they should make legitimate magnetic grenades you can stick to tanks, that would remove some of the frustration in trying to make bouncy nades land in places you actually aimed for.
They captured American Bazookas during the North African campaign, and liked it so much they improved it.
Yes, I absolutely agree that we need more options.
It would benefit Darkflow to provide these (unique experiences).
Be thankful the developers added these ridiculous explosive packs, in the real Battle of Moscow you would be completely fucked by tanks nine times out of ten, unless you had actual AT weapons available.
guys puma feels buggeeeed i shoot and shoot from everywhere but it does not die!!!
actually Its just MAUS tank but devs dont have its 3d-model yet so they use Puma`s one for now
so the armor values is of maus thats why lol
People who think the Puma is OP make me laugh
You saying that makes me laugh just as hard.
We all have weird humor
Let’s be honest here, if the Puma was an Allied vehicle, everyone would be defending it. We all know how this rodeo goes.
Like how everyone is defending the Jumbo, you mean?
People already have the Jumbo? Christ, I really need to get rid of my job!
Some streamers bought it, including ManyMilesAway. I was playing with him and borrowed it for a little while.
I take it the Jumbo is horribly broken, in an advantageous way?
