Disparity between "realistic" vehicles and "arcade" infantry

Vehicle movements are not realistic at all.

That’s why I used “”. It’s not sim level of realistic but it’s FAR more realistic than what infantry has.

To be honest, infantry being arcadey is why I love the game
I’m pepega vision, so all those “hardcore” WW2 shooter games were just “respawn, walk for 5 minutes, get shot by some worm crawling under the bush 500m away over and over again”.
Sure, some of the things about infantry are a bit overcooked right now and I think it’s slid a bit too much into goofball territory, but overall the game can be fun as hell at it’s best. I’ve tried lone fighters when it was still an official gamemode and it was just a sad joke to me.
As for vehicles, its another huge part why I love this game. Actually using your brain makes you way more effective at fighting vehicles and watching some other game footage where two boxes are just hammering away at each other until one box runs out of HP is also a joke to me at this point
Overall, SLIGHTLY less goofy inf would be an improvement IMO, but I dont think many people would care for where’s waldo gameplay

Personally I love the fact that vehicle combat is a mix of arcade/RB and technically even simulator (since you are not omnipotent 3rd person camera haver)
Having the instructor on helps you use keyboard for flying, while being stuck inside the cockpit means you cannot just fly “optimally” since lots of" air rb stuff" is almost impossible to use right when you can’t see shit
The leading indicator is extremely scuffed and often misleading, but it also makes the game more accessible for new players

Also, the planes aren’t “slow”, I’m pretty sure they are just using RB stats, not the bs arcade values where they fly like UFOs since they have 50% or even 2x the horsepower (plus they are all loaded with FULL fuel and all the ordnance)

Turn fighters will almost always loose to speedbois, even in Enlisted “locked in a phone booth” air space, it’s just that they are kind of hard to use to the point of being annoying (for example the FW190 D12)

Get rid of tracers except for mgs and have an indicator showing which way bullets are whizzing at you from.

No one can complain about Dispersion if they can’t see it, and not every gun will be shooting tracers. It’s a win-win.

What if he is jacked?, have seen lots of folks carrying 50kg bags of cement and going up the ladder on contruction sites

Heart, Lungs, Spinal Cord, Head, and Neck instant death while everything else is normal and only needs a bandage. People complained and said it was too complicated to make that damage model, so I opted to make a piece of the upper chest have a damage multiplier to make it an instant kill. Those people did not like it then; they never told me why. :confused:

Perhaps running around like it’s COD is too addicting…

I meant: if your tracer went somewhere, thats where the bullet went, unlike in half “modern shooters” where the bullets basically never go where the irons/optics are and there is no feedback to the player as to what the hell happened to them.
In Enlisted I know that if my tracers are going low, I aim higher and can just pick up any gun and have fun, without having to literally do homework and memorise patterns for every weapon

it’s not because infantry is arcade, but because there are a lot of troops concentrated in a small point, somehow in lonefighters the game looks completely different even though the game is still arcade. In my opinion, the game should be less arcade-like, I can be at the top of the scoreboard with the same result as the rest of my team combined and that’s only because I run and shoot like an idiot. this can be off-putting to new players who don’t understand how to play the game, I carry each game just because I know how to play it, what the meta is, and the meta is running and gunning like an idiot. period. I would like this to change, for the game to be more positional, a little slower weapon handling could improve the situation here, I run and shoot just because I can, I lean out from behind an obstacle during a sprint and ADS in half a second, when I am moving I am more difficult to hit, and since I don’t have any debuffs for running, why wouldn’t I?

the game already is defender biased (as in a competent defender team will beat a competent attacking team almost 100% of the time)
Making it so that you are unable to push at all, because all the camper dipshits sitting on top of roofs/in building windows/mg spammers have utter advantage will just outright kill the game
And will also mean that all the annoying dipshit weapons/tactics are way more viable too.
“Oh, I can’t actually move with my gun at all? HAVE FUN WITH 50 OF MY IMPACT GRENADES/FLAMESPAM”
