Maybe - however they have used April 1 events to test game mechanics before - eg ship combat, submarines

it is fun to theorize, but grind would be insane if they combined infantry with WT considering they have everything from pre WW2 to modern day. just imagine including all enlisted weapons into WT, not to mention cold war and modern day weapons on top of existing WT grind.
also another problem would be number of players per battle and infantry/vehicle ratio for them. if they keep 10v10 and enlisted ratio, it would just become enlisted 2.0(without bots). if they increase max number of players it could become interesting, but it wouldnt be WT anymore.

Looks not that impressive tbh
Warthunder generally runs over double the enlisted teamsize.
But still, without all the AI running about and the huge maps, it would be pretty localised fighting

well i am still waiting for a game that can do good 100v100. almost every game that has tried more than 50v50 had problems with netcode/lags.
Enlisted is not gonna die cause then the major would lose his job. clearly an april fools nonsense.

this also bothers me, maybe because of the help of the enlisted development team to the war thunder team, they didn’t have time to make a Soviet-Japanese event, or bring the latest update to mind, and who knows what the current one will be… not a single feature from the previous events was really implemented in enlisted yet, so now something rotten can come to life for us …

Some April Fools events are just for humour (shooting potatoes), some do actually test mechanics that have come into the game (naval) or which may do at some point (eg submarines), and sometimes it isn’t obvious which is which - eg was there something in the Mobile Infantry being tested?
