Desert Penalty must be harder

Greetings to all forum users as the tittle says i suggest that the desertion penalty must be harder than just a -20% experience gain which obviously is not gonna stop anyone

So my suggestion is simple add the same system that war thunder have whenever you desert from a game a 5-10 minutes penalty that will not allow you to play another match until that timer ends

Futhermore i suggest the implementation of any kind of system for avoiding punishing players due any conection problems so that way this penalty could work more propelly and do its job to retrain players from leaving but at same time avoid punishing the wrong player

In “star wars squadrons” if you left a match early you would receive a lower priority in the match making que, I really like this solution as it ment people who were more like to desert often were in matches with fellow offenders, so therefore not ruining the games for good players.

Also I’d prefer a 20% booster for sticking a match out and a 50% extra if your the MVP of either team.

The main problem of this is the fact that developers alredy tested the timer penalty on the april fools game so it would be copy pasting code and stuff like that instead of making a new whole system

fine but at the very least i dont want to join a game in progress as in ever again, i should not be penalized for leaving a game already being lost.

also if the length of a warthunder game is anything like a world of tanks thats close to the length of a game. the problem with enlisted and forcing a player to the end is games are a lot longer than in warthunder.

That most likely happens when you use the any faction option outside this i personally dont have those problems and almost never found games in progress

then you are going to make that button worthless sorry but you will sharply decrease deserters by sharply decreasing the gaming population.

Also its a multiplayer game meaning you can play great but suffer from a bad team, there either needs to be a grace period or the ability to see the map and mode you are joining and decline and renter the gaming pool.

disagree and the penalty deserve to be removed , its not our fault the game still have full of problems bugs , glitchs , bad connections with no reason , game crashing , its game fault if we cant have fun with theses problems then they shouldnt put that penalty

No dont add harder penalty. Adding -20xp was already to much. The best solution is to add actual map picking not stupid broken voting. With map picking much less players will leave because a lot of players dont want to waste their time playing some shit maps which they dont like. With map picking the -20exp can stay. Without map picking adding harder penalties will be very stupid.

Suspension or banishment, that is the solution, lets just suspend or ban every player who deserts, that will stop it, and while we’re at it, the BOTS better significantly improve because that will be all of your team mates and opponents. Penalty wise, nothing short of those two will curb desertion, however, it doesn’t help with player numbers much.

Maybe at some point people will come to the realization that “This is a FREE VIDEO GAME”, where people are playing just for fun. If there were prize money at stake, that is one thing, but no on is getting anything other then enjoyment or frustration out of this game.

Get rid of the reason’s people desert, like the ranking and win loss system. That is one reason. Give players the OPTION to play SOLO against ONLY SOLO players. Groups ruin the game’s competitiveness when you have one side working together and the other running around like chickens with their heads cut off with no ability to coordinate. Award more reward to those who stick around being your cannon fodder, and give zero rewards to anyone who deserts, no matter how long they stay.

Or keep on climbing the punishment ladder and getting more aggravated as the desertion levels never decline. “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results” Albert Einstein
