They can shoot in the hangar going in the small road wo divide the two first hangar, and because this one is behind the cap the tank cant be killed easily

Yes, but they will usually be more appealed by pounding the front.

Anyway, I’m not saying ā€œit always worksā€, just that it’s an often overlooked tactical option.

It is, which is usually why when squadded up with someone, we have rally points on both sides of the airfield. And then put AT and AA on the ridge behind. Allows us to control the plane and tank spam as required.

You can still lose the point, but it can become very costly for them.

Plus, going back to almost 1000 tickets at each point is just a crazy Allied advantage. If you cannot press that combined with the balloons, no amount of anything would save you.

I stole a win from the allies after fighting off with the team almost 2500 tickets.

Airfield, it’s not just the fact that it’s pretty open so airplanes and tanks can spam 100+ kills

It’s the fact axis is always defending and airfield is terrible if not impossible to defend

The nail in the coffin is that allies get extra reinforcements that they totally don’t need

Airfield isn’t that hard to defend, plus I can count on 1 hand the amount of times Allies players actually had the brain power to remember they can go for extra tickets. They usually don’t even bother. Like really 90% of Axis Airfield matches I’ve played end in Axis still holding first cap.

I do agree that Airfield can be easy to defend, the same can be said of most maps TBH.

What it takes more than other maps, is combined arms. And that is rarer than most on that map for some reason.

If there is a good allied team using Airsupport and Tanks, it can be a challenge. But again, in a group of random that is not a common occurrence.

However in my region and lobbies, itz about 50% or so who know to pop the balloons.
Usually I dont give them the opportunity. I build an AA and light them up myself. It keeps me away from the point for a few min but usually my team can hols off the first push.

Iirc this doesnt work because the ballons give tickets regardless of who destroys them.

So you are helping the Attacker? Lmao dude, if german kill ballons american take ticket always

It used to work, I haven’t had to do it in a bit namely because the population is so high in Normandy I’m almost always given a good enough team that I don’t mind the longer match. More XP really for me.

Next time I’m in Airfield (maybe even tonight if it comes up in my rotation) ill try it .

I will also go through all my old footage because I even think onetime when I was streaming I was showing Axis players how to deny them tickets.

It never worked

Maybe it was a bug then? Not doubting your memory of it , but I’m almost certain I could take the balloons out and deny tickets. I’ll check next time it comes in the rotation.

I know that during the war all sides still utilized some biplanes in their fleets, but I’m curious what the German Biplanes on Airfield actually are

Nonono. Only if from random battles rotation.
We already starts lost maps (River Kamenka was removed from Custom Matches and some others too).

They looked like Arado 197s to me.

Never worked it, open airfield in costum firing at the ballon as german and see allaies ticket go up

Ballon are neutral everything can kill them and give ticket to the allaies

I’ll give it a go tonight and see.

It is a bit demoralising when my team is losing tickets faster than I can destroy the balloons :frowning:

In this case you are giving xp to the enemy

He lost after trying so hard to pull them to a win

Complaining is fine
