ever considered that some of the guys disagreeing with you have played FPS for a few decades also? haha

lets not forget that its Open BETA and the Americans dont even have half their weapons. They are using alot of British weapons for testing.

LMG: MG42/38 are better improvement MG especially if you charge and hipfire spray, Breda mod is essentially the Bren/BAR.

SMG: 40 round SMG that is pretty much the M3A1 @ level 5.

Semi-Auto: G42 has more rounds, less recoil, bigger clip (but this is accurate.)

Bolt-Action: Lee Action is the only good one than the rest are on par with Kar/Springfield, it’s really what kinda ironsight.

M2/FG-42: FG-42 (trade 10 bullets, for instead every bullet 1 shots, less recoil, and bipod)

Planes: Heavy fighter/Light Fighter are germany sided. Bomber is America sided (has MG’s)

Tanks: Puma/Stuart is really mixed bag Puma is better with high speed and an HE round that doesn’t tickle, M8 has nothing on the P3, P4/Sherman are equal, Sherman Jumbo is great.

Things are heavily German sided right now because they’re using USA to test brit guns and wont be gone til british war is released.

start nerf russian bias than always get buff every updates one the two other campaigns and after yes maybe try balance normandy a little

Overall, I think your assessment is pretty good. However, I’d say that the only advantaged the German starter aircraft gets over the American is that the American rockets suck. The P-38-G can fly rings around the German bird and shoot 110’s down all day long – and that’s the P-38’s job. It’s an interceptor.

Well it can fly rings, but a lot of people forget going up the BF110 loses less speed. So as BF110 you want to do more up and down based maneuvers to dodge, since the P-38 will keep it’s speed. Where the P-38 line you want to dip down, get as much speed as possible and start turning.

P-38: think horizontal when dodging, Getting a lot of speed (dip and turn) and turning so the German plane, as the german plane can’t catch up with it’s turning rate.

BF110: Think vertical when dodging, Turn just a little to not take the fire but focus on wasting his energy so he loses speed, dive hard while turning than turn the other direction going up. It will lose energy and speed to climb as far as you, allowing to do a maneuver to get on it’s tail.

well for starters the bf110 and p-38 are not in the same class, they weren’t meant for the same job.

p-38 is an interceptor and that version of the bf110 is a dedicated ground pounder. p-38 wins the air fight, while bf110 is more capable at ground pounding.

That being said, I mainly play Moscow and have only flown them a little. But the rockets on the p-38, while sucking vs infantry, can one shot a PIV easily (which IMO is the most useful role of the plane). The bf110 rockets smash infantry but I hadn’t killed a tank with its rockets.

Not true as I pointed out the BF-110 loses less energy going up than the P-38. The issue is people want to dog fight in a BF-110 like it’s a P-38. If you focus on verticle dodges you can easily outgun a P-38 who decides to follow instead of disengage.

You also can win in a BF110 by doing a Thach Weave due to the Bf 110s lower stall speed

that assuming the bf110 pilot knows what he’s doing (and lets face it there’s a very small number of those) against someone who doesn’t. If the P-38 pilot knows what he’s doing, he would disengage and re-initiate.

I didn’t say the bf110 couldn’t win. I just said the p-38 is more suited. Hell you can shoot down fighters in a Dornier bomber…

Yep, again the issue is I know most people will just get baited by the dive and turn on a PJ-38 and I know I will out turn them since the BF-110 player and they get to greedy to instead disengage.

True, but that’s more an user issue to a balane issue BF-110 ground pound setup just wrecks any air in one shot.

Any ground pounder load out will wreck an Air target if you can get the shot :slight_smile: its just the nature of the weapons. The trick from the other end is, not giving them a shot.

Then again this is the war thunder pilot in me, The flight and damage model is different here, but the tricks still appply :slight_smile:

True it’s more with German BF-110 you’re instantly down if you get shot no recovery. Any other one you have time to do evasive maneuvers unless they quickly take out your crew. I would say that’s a big issue 20mm cannon seem fine as if you stay in fire for 1-2 seconds you’re down, 37/30mm load out instantly downs anything in one shot. It’s hard to get to dog fighting in the America side as you’re usually instantly down where BF110 can do evasive maneuvers.

I would say the big issue is BF110 is dealing damage as if it’s in realism, while everything else deals damage as if its arcade and you can take a few seconds of constant direct hit.

I’ve met one, or maybe two, BF-110 pilots who knew what they were doing. The rest were mincemeat. Most guys try to do one of two things, by my observation:
1 - Pull an incredible climb after a rocket run, and get chewed up by the P-38’s guns
2 - Try to fly the BF-110 like it’s a 109 and get into a turn battle with the P-38.

Have also had great success causing 110’s to crash due to low stall speed via Thatch Weave; the key is for P-38 pilots is to use your combat flaps to get behind the 110, and then when necessary, give the plane some juice, pull up and get a little altitude and speed, then dive down and re-engage again. The single most important determining factor though for me personally, seems to be whomever engages whom first!

And we’re not even going to talk about the 109 and how it turns on a dime…

BF 109 1 drop which has the payload of a bomber per re-arm.

D-Day map is horrible, even for me as a german player
we would block all entrance with tank traps preventing american tank from entering the first sector
since the first sector broke and american tank enter inside, we’re just doomed

I saw a German team do something sneaky a couple of days ago: They let us get into the valley, with absolutely no resistance! We took the first point, thinking it’d be a cakewalk, and then walked right into a prepared ambush of anti-tank mines, manned MG’s on the high points, and bunkers, and Germans in the trenches.

We got boxed in, enveloped, and completely destroyed by a smarter team.

Being smart is better than brute force.

Why why WHY don’t people learn that GAIJIN ARE NOT THE DEVELOPERS.

Darkflow… DARKFLOW are the devs, Gaijin publish the game, they don’t have any role in balancing the game.
