ahh well. All I can say is what I experience…and I enjoy nuking with tanks…flame panzer is a favourite for big scores. (I tank in moscow, stalingrad, normandy and tunisia both sides…ill give you that normandy has shorter life expectancy)
“Y U kill me! U no kill me! I kill U! gAmE bRoKeN!”
Stop caring about kills or XP or whatever. I know I’m a bit of a different kind of player but I play immersively and focus entirely on my Squad roles. Yes yes play to win and all that but that doesn’t mean you have to be a sweater or SuperN00bDestroyer420xD. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose. Sometimes I’m at the very top of the scoreboard, sometimes I’m at the very bottom
Now onto vehicles. Every vehicle has its pros, cons, and roles to play. If your particular vehicle isn’t fighting the enemy vehicles so well you can still focus on fighting infantry. You’re still the supporting the team either way
Did you not read the post it’s for the event he can’t meet the quota And honestly the 20,000 is a bit outrageous for some people.
I actually do extremely well with the AT field gun. Often times on par or BETTER than with a tank.
For me its all about positioning when I use that thing. Wide flanks, rooftops, hills, etc are all outstanding with it. My only issue is that the braces cause some really weird positioning issues. If they made them adjust to the ground they were on, within reason, that thing would be great!
Being able to angle a couple more degrees downward would be really nice too, but not mandatory.
Is there a specific tank type in general you are having issues with? I know you said you’ve played for 2 years, but due to changes here and there some methods of AT (weakpoints, ammo type to use against certain ones, etc) can change.
My prime examples of this are the really small lightweight tanks such as stuarts, Pumas, and the armored cars on Tunisia.
I know a lot of people seem to have trouble killing them, but what a surprising amount of players don’t know is the armor is so thin that AP shells (Especially of larger calibers) often won’t detonate when passing through. Instead, loading up HE and hitting the right spot with that (I do it ALL the time with the Normandy field guns against the Pumas, hitting the frontal ammo rack) will one shot things!
The heavier tanks, with sloped armor and the right angle though… they are hard to kill, as they should be.
Now, I know how you feel about the merge, but one thing about it that will help for the previous situation (IF players are smart enough to use them) are the 80mm mortars for the mortarman class.
Most players don’t know this but you can actually KILL TANKS with these. Even if they are sitting way back (80mm has a range of 350m). This makes them extremely effective as AT weapons.
Ultimately, my point is there are multiple ways to obtain the desired outcome, though I think more focus needs to be put into balancing the options. One of the things that is killing the game right now is just how strong select “strategies” with certain character types and certain equipment simply beat out all other options.
They fix that, they will bring a lot of players back and a lot of new players in.
I watched the most recent match you played in his replay…
(Assuming your IGN is the same as the forum one)
Map is Reich Chancellory(Conquest)
You
-
Drove onto the enemy side of the map in a Panther and got punished accordingly by an enemy T-34-85(in conquest mind you)
-
Came back as a MG crew, built an HMG on D facing towards… no approaching enemies, before proceeding to walk towards B and stand AFK for some time
-
Walked… directly through a doorway that the enemy team was clearly holding(you could see your fellow German teammates getting mowed down in the doorway) nearly losing your entire squad
-
Got the final squad member killed when trying to just walk through that exact same doorway
-
Built a PaK on A(the zone events 3 and 4 transpired on) after the teamfight had ended but still got a few kills
-
Walked to B and the game ended
Overall, the issue just seems to be you not recognizing where the enemy was at any given time which would lead to poor positioning and playing too passively when you did make contact meaning you weren’t capitalizing in anyway on score gain, you need to play aggressively if you want to make any kind of meaningful progress
Sound like skill issue, you cant anchieve even 500 score ? lol, even a bot is better, stop camping dude and make rally point
I’ve seen snipers rack up more points than that with ease.
Generally the only ones I ever see score that low are the ones that seem genuinely incapable of identifying a bad situation and therefore trying to NOT fall victim to it time and time again. Generally people trying to rush the point but through the same door that is being watched by a MG crew for example.
Build rallies, try flanking, even using some alternative classes that most people don’t use could be beneficial.
It’s 20.000 points per 2 days so only 10.000 per day.
Stop lying. This the last 5 match you played. All are played before this topic was posted. None of them are below 500 points lol.
Oh snap lol
1 hour and 20 minutes for for 11,056 score
not quite 9 hours…must be stoned.
The people who say that are usually CringeFlow yes men.
90% of the playerbase are very very average.
I honestly don’t see how you can possibly be that frustrated. Most of the matches you should be stuck with people with your skill level, sure every once in a while you will be matched against a full team of sweat lords, but even a very good player will stand almost no chance against that.
I will agree with you how ever on one thing, the merge will most likely not change anything, considering that players like myself already are determined to play low BR most of the time, because of my love for all the iconic early war equipment.
Sounds like you might need some help, a lot of people think they know this game, but perhaps join up with other experienced players and you can ask questions, especially if you have solo’ed most part of the year… AT works fine, you would need to provide examples.
Time zone, server choice, AT what vs What?
Sturmpistole vs Jumbo in front Normandy
PF vs Tiger on Berlin
Bazooka M1 vs Tiger Normandy
M9 vs Puma Normandy
Type 97 vs Stuart Pacific etc etc
All these things make a difference.
Happy to help
Already warned about the merge not being a wonder solution to the game.
If you want to torture yourself play Berlin Soviet or Tunisia Axis and you will hate the playerbase even more for stacking meta factions.
I mostly Disagree, cuz i am a fairly new player and i currently Find myself in Rank 138 due to every game being Worst of the Best, (usually Fourth - 4500 Points) or best of the Worst (6K Points) in the battles i loose but it’s almost always Strategic Superiority e.g. More Rally Points, Better air Superiority and Airstrike defense by plane and stuff like that, which win’s games.
I Can calm you in this regard, xD i bought the Medic and SMG Premium Squad (Pacific), but end up never using them due to my other Squads being far Better overall, and customizable
Yes there are games where it feels overwhelming.
This is when you indulge in trying new things or enjoy something that is not so productive for the collective effort.
Go snipping, get on an airplane, build AA guns, or better, get on a tank and camp the grey zone.
I was on the verge of a heart attack yesterday in Stalingrad, after enjoying the very exellent mod of @tommyZZM (I recommend, it’s huge).
Ppl who say Stalingrad is boring… Must not play here at all. Ended up doing 13k points WHILE PLAYING INFANTRY (that cleared event, eh) after 37 minutes, we attacked and had 0 reinforcements left but won with a last, desperate push. That’s what I call a very even match (Pyrrhic victory, eheh). Enemies were hiding behind windows everywhere, and mastered the Mosin as much as I the m93.
It was a great match. But oof, I need a breather after those
Its boring in terms of maps.
Not that the maps are really bad… but you play on the same two maps all the time and at some time, this freaking railstation is bugging me off.
Well, the city is a huge map, it’s really like Berlin, but with larger roads and open grounds overlooked by many… maaaaany good shooting spots. In Berlin buildings are closer to one another so it only ends in smg/assault rifle fest. Stalingrad is more varied in terms of tactics, any weaponry class is viable and lethal. It’s this variety I like.
In Berlin, the only riflemen I now dare use are my guys using the Gerät… I miss my Volks, and my Red guards for the Soviets. They aren’t an option anymore with everyone using mp43 and fedov, ppsh41 etc.
Another drama queen.
