Customization of the Chinese (М35 Stahlhelm)

Customization of the Chinese squad now complete surrealism. Some American camouflage, poorly painted standard uniform. Give them some variety and historical accuracy, add German helmets, as it should be.

This is good

This is not good

Btw neither you nor I can control other people’s “sense of taste”, so I ask the developers to add a couple of German helmets with kuomintang emblems. For the most delicate ones, make it so that they can be turned off in a hormonal mode.

Well, we need to add the emblem of the 8th or 5th army. (I have no idea who it is because of your censorship). Naturally, also with the ability to turn it off in the Hormonized mode. This will bring variety and greater distinctiveness to the squad in contrast to others.

In order not to confuse the Chinese with the Germans in the Battle of Normandy, you can take unique colors that the Germans currently do not have. For example, olive. (In principle, I understand that this will look stupid, so you can just give these helmets only for the Pacific Ocean maps)

And now a little history of how German helmets ended up in China:

So where did these German helmets come from? We know from history that Germany was Japan’s ally in that war. Where is the logic? The logic is in the intricacies of the politics of that time. And the USSR, even before all the events began, trained German pilots at its airfields. China, in dire need of equipment for its army, naturally turned its attention to the best German uniforms of that time.

The cooperation between Germany and China was even closer. Thus, the son of Chai Kai-shek, the President of the Republic of China, Jiang Weiguo, after graduating from the German tank military school, even commanded the invasion of Poland, being a lieutenant in the Wehrmacht. Soon, he was recalled to China, as military actions with Japan began. At the same time, the second son of the president studied at the university in Moscow.

Until 1938, Germany supplied China with 220,000 of its helmets, as well as other equipment and weapons. As soon as the active phase of military operations began in Europe and the East, cooperation ceased. Why did China not cooperate with Great Britain and the United States? Very simple. All for the same reasons as now. In order not to increase China’s influence in the Pacific region, the United States did not agree to provide assistance to it.

It is worth understanding how much Germany valued cooperation with China at that time. Having started production of Stahlhelm helmets from 1935 to 1937 for China, the Germans threw all their efforts into fulfilling the order. Even to their own detriment, German soldiers wore helmets of the old M16, M17 and M18 models for a long time. And China was already receiving new M35 models. Only in 1940 did they begin replacing the old helmets with new ones.

For the ending. History is alive, it needs to be shown, including in a niche game like Enlisted. This community was born because previous developers respected historical accuracy, and this created the core audience of Enlisted at the time of its birth.

Just think how many military conflicts in the future will be covered in games, only because they happened a long time ago and no one was offended by the history of those who are not even alive now. I think it’s time to look at this with a clear head, and understand that censoring everything in a game about World War II is just stupid.

if you are sad for this, think about japs, who are lacking of proper historical customization and missing stuff since they add the nation…

I’m afraid the problems with the clothing can’t be completely fixed until the Chinese camp is launched. They’re unlikely to make any alterations for just two squads. It seems like it’ll be a long time coming.

Germany actually has olive Stahlhelms in Normandy. No one notices because they are only available for sniper squads.
