Cosmetic inconsistencies ( paratrooper uniforms for germany )

yes, the water is wet, i know there are many cosmetic inconsistencies within the customization menu,

also, prolly for the moment not a big deal. ( not a priority )

i’ll start a serie of cosmetic thread trying to address and fix all of those inconsistencies present within enlisted. to be precise, in today’s thread, i want to cover germany’s paratroopers.
( and if i’ve got time, and want to, i’ll continue with this series of small threads )

anyway i find odd that both the americans ( us & uk ) do have customization of paratroopers for non paratrooper units,

yet japan, italy, germany and even the soviet do not.

but since that would be kinda overkill to do it all in one thread ( and to implement ) .
as briefly mentioned, let’s start for today with germany para uniforms.


so, today suggestion is simple:

and the solutions are the following:

  • either let their headgear or tunic be the same by default for all campaigns
    ( as it makes no sense that a paratrooper units somehow no longer remains as a para yet stays in the same squad. but then again… doesn’t make sense either that everyone can wear paratroopers uniforms as non paratrooper units. i guess that’s cool to make full para line up, but whatever )

  • allow paratrooper customization to every units just like the US & Uk

  • or to the very least, the followings squads have customization from the events squads:

because it’s quite sad that, they do come with default paratrooper uniforms:




but have next to no option, and even worse, if you switch campaign, they will lose their appearance:

I agree Erika, I have the mortar squad for access Normandy, and when I go to other battles, I no longer have the uniforms equipped and it is frustrating because I have FG 42s and paratrooper, correct loadouts, yet they are wearing regular army uniforms. I appreciate the fact that you made this post, because this ask a good question, and brings up a solid point that myself, as well as most likely many others have also had.

On another note, do you ever think they will do another event, where it would be possible to Acquire a German paratrooper Squad? I came too late into the game, and was never able to be able to take part in the event to acquire a squad of the sort. I did take part in the Italian paratrooper squad event, and I was able to receive the Folgore Italian Para squad. I wish I would be able to have a chance of at least being able to participate in a repeat event of some sort, because that would be worthwhile for participating in. I know you speak with the Dave and the community managers, quite frequently, and I thought I would ask because maybe you would have some inside information. Thank you in advance.

just let me buy the paratrooper helmet as normal customization

It absolutely amazes me, that the customization has been in such a sorry and chaotic state for so long. It lacks any contextual logic and is overall one big mess.

It is quite obvious that the person in charge of customization is clearly not suited for the job.
I really wonder if he’s happy with his work, or if he really doesn’t care.

Because this kind of thing literally devalues the game as a whole. It makes Enlisted feel like one big pile of unpolished wasted potential.

I completely agree. They need to refine the customization and include more items with more detail (or just allow Stalingrad items for Bulge and Normandy) because there are a ton of items that would technically, historically and logically be allowed to be used in different campaigns. Same for Soviets and Allies. I don’t understand why more items and features can’t be added to the game. Not all at once, but a little with every update. I.E, if they do an update for bugs, they add a few items for Japanese. Next update: Add a cool plane or vehicle, add a few more cosmetics for pilots and vehicle crews for those nations. I think you get my drift. If they added a little bit at a time, the issue would be non existent.

For instance, Battlefield 5 had little cosmetic items, but with each update and feature added, cosmetic items for the soldiers were added. Nearly to the point there was/is thousands of combinations to choose from. (Not saying Enlisted needs that many. Just using as an example.).

If Enlisted was to have enough detail customization (backpacks, mag pouches, health bags/medical pouches, and grenades pouches) they could multiply the amount of customization items in number and allow the players to really have a more personalized experience with their squads. It also would also eliminate the reoccurring issue of seeing the same customization in game. I see too many of the same uniforms for Axis and Allies, it’s either they have all camouflage uniforms, or they are bone stock.

Changing the colors of the same uniform item also allows the use of the same asset but can also allow the player to designate their soldiers and the time frame of their enlistment. I.E, allowing the US soldiers to have a M41 or M43 field uniform, or to have leather boots and gaters with the buckles, or have canvas leggings, with boots, while using the M41 or M43 uniform combinations.
Same for Axis, Same for Soviet etc.

There are so many items in history to pull design inspiration from, it shouldn’t be a question of should they, but a matter of how long it takes prior to them implementing items over time.

i literally tried asking James about the cosmetic problem and all he could say is that darkflow will give out more appearance orders (which is a fat lie, the event stage today only gave out 15 orders LMAO)

it feels like calling a plumber when all of the pipes in your house are broken, and instead of fixing it, they just give you one bottle of water per day instead. I want solutions to the problem, not relief from it, ugh

perhaps yes, since, it was confirmed that they might return at some point, just " harder " to get.
( whatever that means ) and, additionally were interested in adding back squads though the gaijing market as well.

yeah… not sure if that’s actually wanted, or more like, " fuck it, i ain’t cleaning this mess as of yet ".

hard to tell, i guess they sort of do, because again, the british did get new uniforms and items as well as muricans ( but… not much for the winter, so again, we’re somewhat from start. but hey, you can now dress as the field marshal or for those who don’t know, sort of looks like a militia / partisan )

Yes please. Makes me sad when i specifically pick paratrooper units, only to be out of uniform (not even close) in most campaigns

What bothers me the most is the lack of a paratrooper pants option in the mortar squad. They only have the torso and helmet from the paratrooper outfit.
And it looks a kinda off.

I don’t hate the amount of customization options, rather like everyone else here, changing the appearance of your squads is a very tedious task, losing track of what soldier in what squad on what campaign is wearing what is very easily done.

The system isn’t bad, it just lacks any aspect of quality of life.

i kinda do since does not include even all pouches for most of items ( despite being a thing over stalingrad )

and even less that there’s like, only 20% of the total items existing in this game.

i don’t expect to see leibermuster rare camo everywhere, or sand uniforms in berlin.

for the love of god, add more options that makes sense without needing having to buy it for 30 soldiers.

i rather have to pay 50 or 70 appearance card to unlock an item once and be abble to apply it as much as i want.

it’s literally that simple.

yet in 2 years or so not a single qol.

i’m starting to believe it’s beyond salvation.

Really sad that there is no map, where whole setup will be in paratroopers uniform.

Well, actually they do, because soviet pratroopers used mostly the same uniform as regular soldiers, with some adjustments like parachute :grinning:

i know they do,

but i was more talking about outside said paratrooper squads.

like, no selection of those para uniforms are present in any other squad unlike once again, the us & uk ( which it’s cool, but it would be better if all factions could wear para uniforms on non para units. the only thing that the campaign should dictate, is the color palete / camouflage. not outright the whole uniforms. save extreme cases like bathrobes of moroc units, leibermuster m44/m43 in tunisia etc )
