Correct reload animation for Mosin rifle family

Amazing, there’s no reason why the game shouldn’t include these details

Have you tried with a straight pull or lever action as well?

Ross MKIII is a straight pull as well. You thought about buying any straight pulls or lever actions.

Does a .22lr straight pull count? I’ve cocked lever actions at gun stores and you can do it while aiming with no issues as a matter of fact maybe gaijin will let us do this https://youtu.be/n68PJM5bazM?si=d1mGN2nommV9kEyw

If I’m going to buy a straight pull it’s either going to be a Mannlicher M95, Swiss K11, or Swiss K31 but those rifles are expensive as hell due to their quality and scarcity, I got my near mint condition 1942 M91/30 for 150 dollars at a gun store and I still don’t know why, my Sporterized M44 was $500 from a private seller, it’s all about luck and chance if you’ll be offered a good price.

As for lever actions I don’t want one unless it’s a Uberti 1866 Yellowboy chambered in 44-40, a Russian contract Winchester M1895, or a Winchester M1887. But to answer your question, aiming a level action is the most convenient way to cock the rifle.

:joy:

Maybe, but the time of the extract for a .22 cartridge is probably shorter than 7.62 or 7.92 because of the size difference.

But at this point, I don’t even care if they add slower extraction speed for the lever actions and straight pulls; I am just tired of my sight being pulled down because my soldier can’t extract a round while aiming, even though the design of the guns specifically allows you to do this.

What an impeccable taste in guns my good sir.

The guy who sold the M91/30 to you was probably in trouble for taxes, lol. But you should get a Ross Rifle; they are pretty smooth.

I believe it.

You mean the M44? No the reason they sold it for 500 is because that’s the average price for an M44 online

A fine taste you have.
Also seeing IRL you was quite a shock, I expected a nerdy teen after your posts, please have my apologies and respect.

I meant this one.

I think it was just because they probably thought since the gun was so old it had no value, but yet again the same store had a Finnish Mosin for $700 a few years back.

Are they nerfing the fire rates with them?

No, but I wouldn’t care if they would as long as I can keep my gun aimed while extracting around.

That half reload with the clip is pretty good, also how do you confuse a Mosin Nagant for a SVT40?

  • There both loaded with Mosin stripper clips.
  • They both have the same stock ergonomics, SVT-40 even has the same channel for fingers as the Mosin.
  • They both weigh the same (SVT-40 is slightly lighter)

And every time i pick up my Mosin i think about SVT-40

SVT40 is loaded with mags

In real life they used Mosin clips since extra mags were a luxury

Militaries were addicted to stripper clips back then and treated magazines as part of the gun.

It puts you at a disadvantage though, SVT40 needs 2 5 round clips to load the gun while M1 Grand only needs 1 8 round clip? The same goes for Gewehr 41 and 43 right? The M1 Grand really is the best then.

I sorta wish we could get the clip reloads though because for some reason they interest me.

Euros booing

Always has been. That is why they gave it such terrible gun sights.

I’ll list the Soviet weapons that would use stripper clips to load detachable magazines:

  • Fedorov Avtomat M1916 and Federov MG: Loaded with 5, 5 round Arisaka stripper clips (Bolt must be manually locked open by pulling it back and compressing a latch next to the bolt.

  • SKS-31: Loaded with 1, 5 round Mosin stripper clip.

  • AVS-36: Loaded with 3, 5 round Mosin stripper clips, bolt automatically locks open on last round unlike Fedorov (This is why the scope is offset to the side on the AVS)

  • SVT-38, SVT-40, SKT-40, and AKT-40: Loaded with 2, 5 round Mosin stripper clips (this is why the scope is short on these rifles)

AVT-40: Loaded with 3, 5 round Mosin stripper clips.

SVT, SKT, AVT, or AKT with Bubnov Drum: Loaded with 4, 5 round Mosin stripper clips.

There is probably more that I haven’t mentioned but ill end it here.
