Many people have noticed this. If we really have the legendary FG-42 (Fallschirmjägergewehr 42, “paratrooper rifle 42”), it would be great to think about introducing German paratroopers into the game. It just seems to ridiculous to see this weapon is in the hands of engineers, or Wehrmacht soldiers.
The drop planes would be completely unnecessary, because after the invasion of Crete, large-scale airborne assault operations were banned and these elite German troops were formed as simple infantry units.
Many Fallschirmjäger formations participated in the Normandy campaign. (most notably example, the 3rd parachute division).
Of course, it is also possible that these units could be made as premium squads as well.
Here are some examples:

I don’t want to talk about the FG42 until the M2 carbine is removed from Normandy. DIdn’t even see action there. first 500 units of the M2 were produced in september/october.
you know that we already have them, right?
they just don’t have the correct uniform.
but overhall, just as i said in another post, the FG should only be used by the 3rd mortar battalion as they are from the luftwaffe branch ( and paratroopers ) so that it would make sense to fill them with fgs and balance them.

Enlisted is still only Open Beta. I would not be surprised if the FG 42 will be limited to Fs.Jg. Squads after the Open Beta ends. Currently the FG 42 needs to be tested, it would not make sense if only one squad could use it during testing.
I assume this also applies to the British and Italian weapons that USA and German troops currently have access to.

Very good observation. It is to be hoped that this is the case.

Yes. The idea is that this should be the case, and of course this would provide some rework in the implementation of each individual weapon in the game.
