Reimbursement for purchased goods is literally the backbone of capitalism in terms of exchange of goods and services. At best you could argue a socialist aspect.
If players were refunded the exact amount in gold as when purchased than the consumer hasn’t really lost anything. If anything you have even more now, still get to keep the guns and the gold purchased that can be allocated elsewhere.
The concept is fundamentally capitalist and arguably hyper capitalist in the way it’s acquisition of the most product for the lowest cost, something that could even be framed as greedy.
Don’t get me wrong tho I’m all for implementing some other domestic or ally designed firearm instead for Japan. There’s been numerous suggestions for other designs and even more variants of Hei’s, Ko’s and Otsu’s along with Nambu made rifles and other Pederson designs. The main problem is just finding a darn 10 round or higher mag for those things, or just some interchangeable magazines.
