Because I’m absolutely sure they won’t do this
They are too greedy

I can already tell there will be some spice here to follow.
My position? Bad descisions that should never have been taken by DF needs to be corrected, more commonly used guns in history should not be rarer in game than ones present in the tech tree, and I’d rather rip of the bandaid swiftly than continue going on with these bad descisions.
Though, I am not a Japanese gun expert, so I’ll just take the word of people here on the forum stating the inconsistencies. I am way more concerned about the state of Commonwealth than Japan, mostly because I am more aware of the frankly horrendous state of it (Firefly and Matilda II shouldn’t be premiums).
I would say the same about the I-16 fighter, the Lewis machine gun, and the M3 and hanomag APCs.
I 100% agree, I mean there are countless examples of said issue, and we also have examples of even DF doing what is exactly suggested as well, as we can see with the legacy Gewehr 41 squad or etc.
But top of my list, the Chi Ha, needs to be TT, it has no right being paywalled atm.
I do think premium owners should be compensated with not only keeping said unique premium squads, but also rare skins for said squads if they are vehicles (Much like the Jagdpanther), and in the case of of BP weapons, they should be kept around to be a unique version of the weapon, maybe with added weathering or even engraving or etc.
At least for the those 3, you can add alternate models, for example we have the 251 Ausf D in game atm, we could easily get the Ausf A/B/C instead as a TT option.
Same for the M3, I mean the US can just get the M3 as is, they could also get the M5, and the countless sub variants. For the soviets, I would like to see the M3A1 Scout car added instead as a TT armoured APC.
I-16 again, how many types were there? 24 at least?
As for the Lewis, I think its good to remain a premium for the soviets, but 100% needs to be added to BR3 allied TT.
Yeahhh I would love that, I think those guns are too bad to be even mad about them losing their BP status. I would be happy to be compensated with a better weapons for any other faction lol
this sugestion not is needed, it exist a post with already more versions of rifles and other weapons who should be added, when I am at pc I give the link: All versions of Type Ko, Type Hei, Type Otsu rifles
The first and second yes, but I don’t understand why we need to add that unbalanced SMG to TT?
Can I have mine with a side of Murata rifles, thank you!
I would sprinkle both. But I don’t have that power.
No, thanks.
I have no clue why all the commies want to screw with the players who support the game financially. There are many other weapons that could be added into Japanese tech tree instead.
Japanese TT lacks variety because it’s newest nation that was present only in one campaign, not because there are no potential weapons that could be added into the game.
There’s still huge potential in weaponry that could be added.
You have deeply disappointed me. Literally commie behavior. There’s no compensation that could outweigh the loss of exclusivity.
Don’t mess with stuff people have paid for.
I’m more concerned about it’s nature as a prototype as a reason not to make that perticular switch, the other two are more justifiable though.
Yes, Japan also has no shortage of SMGs there. And that makes the Premium Squad, which uses the same weapon, useless. There’s no reason to add it.
Although I prefer to add those things to TT with a little modification so that their uniqueness is not lost.(Type heis)
Yep, Japanese SMG game is on point in all BRs except BR 5, there’s no game balance need for it and therefor I default to “what is the historical need” (most important for this discussion in this case, but usually only a part of the larger puzzle), and for the Type 1 the answer in this case is “none”.
And what would you recommend to be added instead?
Thank you for your post.
Couldnt agree more.
Id also like to add the Hotchkiss M1922. I have two of them I got with GOs and they are awesome.
I dont know how much Japan used them but early Japanese LMGs suck (type 11 is terrible, the type 97 I think it is is good but only for certain situations).
I also agree with all the posts about correcting other mistakes, such as the Lewis gun not being in Allied tech tree.
The Type Hei 10 round is a classic example of WHY WAS THIS NOT IN THE TECH TREE?
DarkFlow is crazy, they lock so many good and important weapons and vehicles behind paywalls and then when theres gaps in the tree say welp weve run out of content, guess well just have to completely make something up.
I dont have a problem with really special weapons or prototypes being premium/event but at absolute minimum I believe all actual WWII tech should be in the tech trees, like the lewis gun, M3 halftrack Mathilda tank etc.
Japan as we know relies on prototypes anyway so they should prioritise the prototypes necessary to fill up and balance the tech tree, then worry about what crazy prototypes they can offer for real money.
The first great idea of the month. upvoted.
Reimbursement for purchased goods is literally the backbone of capitalism in terms of exchange of goods and services. At best you could argue a socialist aspect.
If players were refunded the exact amount in gold as when purchased than the consumer hasn’t really lost anything. If anything you have even more now, still get to keep the guns and the gold purchased that can be allocated elsewhere.
The concept is fundamentally capitalist and arguably hyper capitalist in the way it’s acquisition of the most product for the lowest cost, something that could even be framed as greedy.
Don’t get me wrong tho I’m all for implementing some other domestic or ally designed firearm instead for Japan. There’s been numerous suggestions for other designs and even more variants of Hei’s, Ko’s and Otsu’s along with Nambu made rifles and other Pederson designs. The main problem is just finding a darn 10 round or higher mag for those things, or just some interchangeable magazines.
