So i see more examples of gamers playing more during summer break than during month of May. Only Gaijin games this year are losing players at least when compared to two other titles.
I also tend to agree with snail that the numbers don’t seem right. If he’s right about there being over 4k on steam 24 hr peak and the graph is right about there being around 1.5k in crossplay off (pure console plays) that’s half of the population right there according to the graph, which just doesnt make sense. There should be way more people running the client as he said. And we know there are way more console players who play in crossplay. I have hard time believing 4 thousand people on steam are just letting their clients run for 24 hours without playing any games
Obviously there are exceptions. Newer titles may be more likely to show growth their first year of summer especially if it was released in winter just before. Meaning it’s still catching traction from being new. We all know war thunder players have no lives so that’s not very surprising either. This is straight from chat gpt since you need a source lol. There are also some game types (the ones geared more toward children) that do not usually see the summer drops.
Tried to ask my local ai about few planes and it started talking bs just for me to shut up after receiving lengthy answer. Every single detail about F-16 and Mig-29 was wrong i mean all of it.
like i said steam only shows people in the game. they can be in menu, custom match or in regular MM. my data only shows regular MM as it is reported on replay site. i know that many old players switched their gaijin accounts to steam accounts, so there is question on how many people are actually on standalone launcher. there is also possibility of replay site not reporting all matches
Think i understand your stats now. It’s the average amount of people playing in a match during any given time. So just because your stats say less than 10k the daily concurrent players could still be 50+k yes?
there is question if there are any devs that can actually implement changes… outside couple of bug fixes, couple of new BP weapons and new premium squads and 1-2 map a year, devs really arent implementing new features.
concurrent=players in match at any given time in regular MM
daily unique players is ~100k
last year data shows that matches are mostly full and 10v10. there are few maps that have excess bots, but i attribute it mostly to newbie MM where you get 1-2 players and 18-19 bots.
I always thought daily concurrent players were like the amount of “the regulars” who log in and play day after day, where as unique player count was showcasing more of the casuals who log in every now and then
