I really dont enjoy the “overly bloomy happy lush” landscapes in the maps so i suggest several predefined filters. I saw this setting in Diablo Immoral (yes i know, i was curious how bad it was). And off all the garbage, i liked the option to have 4-5 colour/lightning filters “Dreary/Damp”, “Cold”, Warm", Normal/Default.
Its weird entering Stalingrad with all the shiny colours where it should look like smoke, dust from debree - in other words dready. I dont say it should be like WaW, super monochrome, but it will get me more immersed if there was a dreary filter to make the look of the game like death has covered the clouds. This has been a turn-off for me in BF5 too…everything was too shiny, lush and happy and i had to use mods. A simple in-game filters option can change that. Several colour paletes filters to choose from. Keep it up
I agree. The look is quite cartoony.
And cheerfull soldiers don’t help either.
Ohhhh this is not a real war. Everything is too colorful. Everything should be gray, covered with feces. It would be best if there was a lunar landscape like in BF1.
Yes and no. Why?
Because the vision of what the battlefields looked like was created in us by films such as Private Ryan, Enemy at the Gates, Battle of Moscow or Fury.
And I was reading a book about the Battle of Monte Cassino where the descriptions of the surroundings indicated a multitude of colorful flowers contrasting with the black pillars of smoke.
If you think the game is too bright, then leave the basement on a beautiful sunny day and go to a flowery meadow. You will then see too bright colors.
Whow easy with that edge flyboi u can cut yourself with that.
Im saying “it should be an option”. If you like the sunny flowers go for it.
Its not so much about how the outside looks but its about the psychology of the soldier that percieves the battlefield against the actual environment. When you realise you’ve entered hell - its not so flowery anymore.
World At War got that dread perfectly - that distorted vison coupled with the actual destruction, smoke, dust, mud, blood and death everywhere. A battlefield is not so flowery and bright. Have you seen Berlin in 1945? Even the colored documentaries on History still dont look funny and meadowy - because THEY ARE NOT. Everything is chaos and women screaming around in the mud.
And that “films made it argument” is so low-iq that i wont even bother responding to it.
Now go touch some grass instead of keybord-warrioring me over here Mistrz. It looks like you are the one who needs a flowery meadow, because i live on one.
Spring is just beginning in my country and there are no flowers yet.
From all that i wrote to explain myself, this is what u came up with? Dude for real…The thread is about filters being implemented since we cant use reshade - not whether there’s spring in your country. I know about the spring- i live on the Northern hemisphere too. Touch some grass is a meme u see.
Plus i will tell you one more thing. My father, god rest his soul, was a veteran of the civil war in Macedonia, 2001. And he brought pictures, he was a teacher by profession and a combat medic in the military. And he was a smart guy, explaining me in details everything that was happening outside and inside his head. The fear, the dread everything.
Plus if you wanna go “objective reality” the pictures i saw were decimated villages with smoke covering the sky from the shelling and the tanks shoting buildings because the guerrila fighters were hiding in those abandoned houses.
So it wasnt a very bright sight to behold on these photos…What i saw was…Hell…
