Ideally there are no automatic alternatives for basic infantry. Let’s stick to that, for both sides. And let’s force everyone to bring at least one trooper squad to battle.

Historically, the majority of squads in WW2 would fit more into the trooper category than anything else. Having everyone running and gunning on automatic spray and pray CoD style isn’t really what I imagined.
Issue with the FG-42 looking at the german team alone
- Invalidates the G43, as it has the same damage/bullet velocity/weight (same move speed). But 10 more rounds and higher RoF and more ammo in total. The second you unlock the infantry FG-42, on every class but the LMG (MG38/42 are way better) and assault (can’t equip) it just becomes the best weapon.

FG-42 has same rof, less recoil, more damage, more bullet velocity, same weight, but 10 more rounds.
15 rounds to kill. Doesn’t matter if most of normandy is around the 150m or less engagement.

My issue is that it can go full auto but you have a got point there. It invalidates the g43 as well. It should either be low tier gunner weapon or high tier assaulter weapon, class restricted.

Yep and you can do the same with the m2
Yep full auto for CQC, tap or set it to single fire for medium range 1 hits, and it’s better at any range for 2 hits because you can get the second shot off faster and line it up more easily with less recoil. M2 is a 2-3 shot versus the M1 Garands 1-2 shot, so the big issue it’s just not worth it and better to just run the M1.
Since it has the same weight value of infantry rifles and not the BAR you also move faster.
@zelot2256 , has a point where it has an advantage of prefire but semi-auto rifles have a ttk 0 in cqc (first shot is a kill, vs the geweher) So many times I get one shot off than popped off which doesn’t happen when I use the FG-42.
MY Pz IV just got oneshoted by an ally tank, meanwhile ppl here crying about if FG-42 has 10 more bullets than whatever other weapon or some shit 
Pz IV can one shot the ally tanks as well. PzIV can be one shot from the side as can the Jumbo. You really need more buffs for the Germans before you stop whining?

Yes Pz IV can do that. But he cant one shot shermans through the front side (because he cant penetrate the front side). To win against a sherman or jumbo you need the high ground (loool) to shoot his upper plate or you have to be lucky to see his side. Normaly you will lose a 1vs1 against a sherman. Sometimes you are lucky and the player is not that good. Could track a sherman once and drive around him. But in the most cases the first hit is a criticial one and my Pz IV H is completly RIP. And I just bounced his front plate… yay. One of my friends is playing the Alllies and he has the small sherman. He told me that german tanks are a not a big deal for him xD
I think both pz4 are better than the Sherman tbh. Its not easy to kill a pz4. Jumbo is a bit stronger than the pz4s though but only defense wise. Gun wise the pz4 ap shell does more dmg
In general Pz IV is maybe better, yes. But in a tank fight they are not really good. Dont have the sherman tanks yet. But my friend told me that german tanks are ezpz for him lol. And I lost many fights against sherman. He only has to kill your tracks and then you are RIP. As Pz IV you have to see the sherman upper plate or the side to kill this “bunker”. There is simply no weakspot at the front plate.
I think your friend is a pro tank player. If you put a equal skilled tanker in a shermand and a pz4 then the pz4 wins
Depends on the panzer IV, and if the current case of 75mm HE one-shotting a skirtless IV on the side between the tracks is a bug or intended. (where the armor is only 30mm)
To get in a position to shoot a pz4 from the side you have to overreach your own weakness and with that a Sherman will be a one shot as well plus the Jumbo can technically be one shot then as well.
Plus I have tried this so called easy one shot from the side. I have yet to get a first on that. I have seen your post and did exactly what you said multiple matches and nothing happend at all. I think its a bug on your side.
