The fg42 isnât even as good as you think. While mounted it has a high recoil. Only when prone itâs really lethal. Realistically, when itâs mounted, it shouldnât even recoil that much.
Lmfao what? The FG 42 has HALF the recoil of the G 43 and DOUBLE the mag size. I destroy people with the FG 42 all the time. As soon as I got that thing I gave it to all my squads. At close range it massacres people in full auto and at long range you one shot people. It literally does everything well. I donât wanna be mean but if you think you have to be prone for the FG 42 to be lethal you suck dude. Itâs insane, I donât even use assaulters anymore because the gun fulfills every single role so well.

How edgy, now take the fg42 into a squad game and come back. Youâll get killed by aiâs and springfields. It also doesnât one shot long range targets unless you hit the chest/head. Iâm also max level in Normandy so I guess I âsuckâ

The fg42 defaults on semi automatic, and the aiâs are also really bad at using them. American rifles have higher velocity. Donât believe my theory? Go see for your self.
Yeah I just did, and I just destroyed 3 full squads of guys with Springfields and Garands using a single soldier with an FG 42 using 1 mag each on full auto. Dude, Iâm trying to wrap my brain around how you could think the FG 42 is bad. Like, I might actually hurt myself trying to figure out how you came to that conclusion.

Itâs a good gun, but what Iâm saying is, aiâs canât use them efficiently. So youâre full squad of fg42âs is counterintuitive. Go walk across an open field, and youâll see what Iâm telling you
No shit the AI canât use them efficiently, the AI canât use ANY GUN in the game efficiently with how braindead they are. But I donât need them to be good at using it, I just need myself to be good at using, and Iâm really good at using the FG 42, anyone could be good at using it.

Please donât make this twice in one day (for those that get this reference).
- All those other guns are bolt actions with less ammo or semi auto with less ammo, meaning the AI will still do better with the FG 42.
- 10% higher velocity means absolutely nothing at the ranges combat takes place in this game.
- This is just for AI, for players the FG 42 is vastly superior to any gun the Americans currently have access to outside of the BAR and maybe the Thompson. But those guns can only be run by their specific class, while almost all classes can use the FG 42. M1 Garand is significantly worse than FG 42.

Youâre wrong, because the aiâs can actually use bolt action rifles better than they use the fg42. Do you play Germans? Probably not, because not every soldier can use the fg42.
Idk maybe we just like different guns but to me itâs an absolute monster. Itâs basically a BAR for every single one of your riflemen and better than 90% of the guns other people you are facing will be using. If you look at weapons in this game based on how the AI will perform with them youâre playing this game wrong. The AI isnât there to be your main killer, YOU are the main killer.
I do indeed play Germany. Stop making assumptions and assuming youâre some type of god and your word is the law and everyone who disagrees with you is wrong. Even when youâre the only one saying something and everyone else disagrees.
And I never said all troops can use it. Outside of vehicles crews, the only ones who cant use it are gunners and assaulters. All other classes can use it (snipers get the sniper version which is still an FG 42).

No they wonât. You know why? Because within 5 seconds of seeing that squad I wouldâve wiped them all out with FG 42 spam. Do you just have your AI do all the work for you? Cause when I catch a US squad out in the open theyâre basically dead.
Ok, then walk into an open field/wood line and youâre getting shot at through the brush by the aiâs that can see through everything. In this scenario, your squad would lose, because the aiâs are really bad with the fg42
