Change gun dispersion to weapon sway

Too subtle unfortunatelly. I think that a game mechanic like the heart rate one in sniper elite would work great here. The more dynamic you are, the less accurate you get (untill your heartrate drops down). If sprinting and jumping would drastically influence weapon sway by raising your heartrate and the ability to hold your breath, i think many of the bunny hopping issues would be resolved. This way, you can have gun dispersion AND dynamic weapon sway based on this.
Also it would be interesting to see what else could raise you HR and mess with your accuracy like artilery fire or zipping bullets close to your head. This could also make cover fire usefull and avoid situations where you empty a mag in a group of enemies with a smg and they turn around and one shot you like nothing happend.

explosions already shake your whole screen and greatly increase scope sway
im pretty sure having lower stamina also increases it

if you are close to the blast zone, i’m talking more about the siuation where you’re in cover and a bomb drops somewhere near you and it startles you.
I mean, in the game it more like a concussion effect, not the fact that it scared the living jeesus out of you.

the range of explosion shochwaves is suprisingly large- it also goes through walls/trenches…
i think that currently its fine

Sure, but that’s with sprinting and jumping. I think normal running should increase weapon sway a bit as well.

moving does increase sway
you cant aim while running so sway doesnt matter there

Not while running, i mean right after.

would that even matter
if you are quckly aiming after a sprint its very likely because you will quickly shoot someone at close range. in that case sway wouldnt do much
sway only really does anything when aimong for a longer time

Sorry but i have to disagree. I’m not in the military but i’ve been playing airsoft for the last 7 years. I have a SVD with a 6-24x50mm scope on it. Combined it goes up to 6.5 kg alone. Add 4 spare mags for it, add a sidearm with 3 extra mags and the gear and running will make you less accurate, sprinting even more so. And like i said, it’s the heart rate that make you less accurate and heavy breathing that gives you weapon sway. Not to mention the fact that after a long sprint you can’t even hold your breath right for a short while to steady the rifle (in my case the airsoft replica). Also, jumping with that extra weight is exhausting.

PS: this is my loadout. I’m the one on the left.

Agreed it should be a dispersion and weaponsway hybrid. Neither should be too strong but together they could add alot.

I really like the sound of that

It’s pure crap.

Guns are being inaccurate af fot no reason.
