I don’t know if I miscommunicated my point, or you misunderstood it, but let me try again.

You’re saying that, from an empty Auto 5 as our start point, you could stuff a round in the tube, and immediately fire it without working the action. If that’s what you’re saying, I agree, that’s nonsense.

The rest of my point was that, if you’re starting with a shell chambered, interrupting the reload animation to fire is reasonable, and also if you’re starting with an empty shotgun that locks open, you could just chuck one in the ejection port, hit the release, and fire. Either of these make more sense than what was reality, if I understood you correctly.

Of course the gun just got removed and the problem wasn’t really pointed out, because the complaints about it were along the lines of “semi-auto shotguns OP” and not “hey the reload is broken and exploitable”

Right? Surprised we don’t see more of that for the slam-fire on the 1912, to be honest.
