I don’t play Japanese much, but my goodness that Jap float plane just takes for ever to get off the water and even longer to get to the cap point. I only play level one and two with Japan as that is all I have fully tech tree’d, I’m still treeing level four and five.

No, aircraft carriers are cool. We should have planes that don’t need to take off from the carrier come from further away without changing ammunition supply points.

its literally nonsense that you can literally spam HVAR at literally first secods of a game and also add more variety of planes to japanese aswell
on that case and if we increase the distace for getting on the map + add the standard timer that doesnt allow players to use aircraft during first minutes?
problem is mostly the fact that americans can literally blow anything in less than a few secods when it comes to pacific so maybe any solution to avoid this (or at least on early game ) will be appreciated

Best thing would be to leave carriers here as they bring new tactical depths to air combat, as well as repairs.
Only thing would be to make every planes start in the air. All of them. Of course, with the same spawn delay as other maps.
Maybe an option to choose from, like APCs, where you can go out without APC or with APC (you won’t be able to repair it if you don’t take off from the carrier).

If I recall correctly pacific maps have airfields somewhere. I remember flying over something that looked like an airfield on the way to the ammo point so that could be a solution for non carrier aircraft. Instead of removing them make other take off on airfields, and possibly allow repairs there. It does increase the time spent from spawning in an airplane and arriving at the map though.
are the Aircraft Carrier their full size? seems a bit small for something that sent planes after planes to the air

If DF wants to keep the carrier or water take off in the game, fine, but make EVERY faction have to take off from the ground. Figure the timing out so it takes EVERY faction the same amount of time to get their planes off the ground and to the cap point. While we’re at it, lets slow the tanks down and make them have to load their personal, fire the tank engine up and motor out of the base thus slowing them down an additional 20 or 30 seconds as well. I bet there would be a huge outcry amongst tank lovers if they had to piddle around with stupid shit before heading to their favorite gray zone spot to blast cap points, which they can do every few seconds I might add as opposed to a plane.

Why not have ALL planes take off and remove that air spawn nonsense entirely? I for one always despised the air spawn (in WT as well).
im sure they can come up with an excuse sayings a certain faction took over a air base and was using it for the current battle/match to make it where people would need to fly from the runway and in a good way a spot to repair
I really dislike having to take off on Pacific theatre as Japan, since not all planes as America need to take off on carriers. But if I fly the AP-1 or Dauntless it takes just about the same time, I haven’t used a pontoon plane in a long time.
It just sucks investing the time to take off and then having been shot down by a plane that clearly had a head start. I would circle the carrier till I was high enough or just start off as infantry to see how the sky situation is and then spawn a plane. The circling solution is clearly a waste of time and spawning on the ground when no one wants to fly just sets your team up for a disadvantage.
How about this idea?
Eliminate takeoffs in the beginning of the match altogether. We keep the carrier as it adds defense for you, and it’s a repair spot to land, and only then you would have to take off. Take the carrier assets and change the skin/look, I don’t develop and figure out how to place them level with the ground and add them to maps where there is no water for the carrier. Now all maps have an air zone/strip for repair and defense.
You can add a medal for best pilot instead of attacker/fighter in match for points just for landing, since you already get points for the successful landing. Some might think it could encourage hogging the sky but hey if you’re killing it or not dying, sure it sucks when you want to fly but who am I to tell you how to play?
Maybe I didn’t think about all the issues, let me know where I didn’t think about some things that are or aren’t possible with the idea. Not like it’s going to happen but hey…
And Can Japan get some more tech tree gear?!
