Buff the rof of m1 carbine and damage on pistols

only the 5.7 damage smgs need buff
mp40 is already strong for no aparent reason.

Low time to kill brings immersion

you are going to burst the ppsh the same way you are doing now.
but it is not the ppsh the smg im talking about
but the rest of smgs.
specially the low rof ones,

mp40 is good due to damage
ppsh is good too due to high ROF.

Like what gun? I can’t think of a low rate of fire SMG that needs three shots to kill.

Well, Soviet body armor turns MP40 and other 9mm SMGs into 3 hit kill guns… but thats a different topic.

You are moving on dangerous grounds here mate, MP40 and PPSH41 should already be rivals, but one is BR2 the other is BR5, increasing PPSH damage to have 2 hit kills would pretty much lower its time to kill by 50% up close - that would be a massive buff.

I think you are overestimating the damage potential of pistol rounds - don’t get me wrong, we had a couple discussions in the past about pistol round performance and the little 7.62 Tokarev has actually similar damage performance of 9mm because it has a very fast travel speed - as you know … mass + velocity is pretty much damage (ignoring more complicated topics like overpenetration, bullets breaking apart or bullets tumbling) - while 45 acp also has very similar performace despite having more mass - because again, it travelling slower than 9mm.
So in general less mass and more velocity seems like the better round - “theoretically” same or more damage, bigger magazines, less recoil (mass determines recoil much more then pressure) and a faster flying bullet - however, heres the thing, more mass - despite having more bullet drop - usually helps stabilising the round, so it “can” be more accurate.

To bring this back to our discussion.

Theoretically PPSH could actually be changed to kill even faster up close - however it should be much less accurate at longer ranges than 9mm and 45 acp in return, right now PPSH has less dispersion per round than many other SMGs and is at 100 meters distance still effective enough to fight even semi auto guns. I am telling you, SMGs are up to BR4 the best weapon class in the game for 90% of the combat distances - so buffing them would be pretty insane.

P.S. Sten indeed needs 3 bullets to kill despite it being a 9mm gun - which was only done because its a BR1 weapon. Pretty dumb if you ask me - however I asked you to show me a slow firing SMG, Sten shoots fairly fast.

i can click faster than you imagine but i shoot slow due to the low rate of fire

revolvers are awful too

i ask for more rof on carbine
and maybe more damage on revolvers

Yes, M1 specifically shoots painfully slow - completely ruins the gun for me, specificaly considering that basically ALL other semi autos in the game shoot faster.

Also, considering that bolt action rifles have increased damage per shot despite shooting the same bullets of semi autos and MGs - this can also be done to revolvers - or even better, maybe high caliber revolvers could be added.

Exactly my point, if you switch full auto guns to semi auto, they still have the same rate of fire - but their semi versions are artificially nerfed.

I play alot of first pattern FG42 - but I use semi auto specifically because it shoots as fast as I can click.
