I’m not backtracking anything, FG42 is way less accurate and it’s a fact, it’s much easier to control gun with 10/2 recoil and 650 rpm than weapon with 17/6 and 830 rpm even despite it’s worse dispersion, when horizontal recoil is so tiny dispersion is not as annoying as on FG42 II, visual recoil is bigger issue.
AVT-40 20r has much lower recoil direction, lower rof (comparable to STG44), lower dispersion and very similar horizontal recoil to FG42 II. So dispersion can only hurt your guns in certain situations when it fires too fast, even lower dispersion can be annoying to deal with when your recoil is already high.
How does a slightly faster reload make it ‘completely superior’? If you’re so convinced, why don’t you propose an actual way to make the AS-44 ‘unique’ instead?
Because let’s be honest—everyone crawling into this subforum is just a bunch of man-children crying for ‘one magazine, ten thousand kills,’ not actually suggesting useful tweaks to the game’s mechanics. I’m just following the herd, really.
Let me say it again—learn to burst fire instead of whining about high RPM being ‘uncontrollable.’ Back when the AVT and AVS had insane visual recoil, we all managed just fine.
Both weapons have near identical stats.
If you buff one weapon it makes it superior by definition.
In your own opening post you suggested that it should have an edge over its competitor.
You did not say that you wanted a distinct AS 44.
You laid your intentions bare and then changed the narrarive.
Sure! Just turn the AS-44 into a god-tier laser gun—since balance is already in the gutter, let’s all embrace the chaos! Then give the German mains an ‘Instant Win’ button—now that’s what I call perfect balance!
