Buff the PPS-43 to better meet expectations

Why? Even the most basic Tier 1 rifleman has 17/17/17 stats, and The vast majority of players choose the Vitality perk.

I would find more believeable that the vast majority of players don’t care about perks and have no idea that there is such a thing as a vitality perk in the game, or how beneficial it is to have it.

Because that’s how casuals usually perceive game mechanics like this.


And I personally believe there are more people with non upgraded equipment on lower BRs than with a vitality perk. So trying to perfectly balance something like this is completely meaningless anyway. There’s always going to to be imbalance.

Even if there are people who don’t care about perks, they likely don’t care about winning or losing either, so we don’t need to consider them

Yeah, let’s tailor game balance towards minmaxers and seal clubbers. That’s definitely good approach.

I do this because I can use a BR1 gun and dominate in BR5 against the regular noob playing this game - that’s why I always consider balance from the perspective of having a good player fight me, and good players use Meta gear.

I only lose my matches to stacks of capable enemies - and those having an unfair advantage against me is unacceptable.

Also the logic to say body armor and vitality deserve no nerf because most players aren’t using it is pure disgusting hypocrisy - if no one is using it there is zero reason to defend those to begin with - unless someone is being dishonest and actually want to have unfair advantages.

Nerfing overperforming meta gear is how tailoring to minmaxers exactly? I thought noobs dont use vitality, body armor and other broken mechanics.

Its obvious that adjusting balance for top choice gear and vehicles also positively influences noobs, unless we keep powecreeping the game into oblivion ofc.

Biggest clown thread to date. You want to buff 3rd best smg at BR2? While making Germany even weaker than their 4th bottom place at BR2 power which is way below Japan now. GER is pretty much playing with BR1 Stens but at BR2.

MP40 only kills in 2 hits at max 18m, you will often fight at 19-50m and when Soviets are wearing their overpowered body armor then it will be always 3 hit kill no matter the distance while soviets do the same but with 800 rpm. How fair it is?

People keep saying that M38/42 is better than mp40 but in reality it’s even weaker as it’s dmg is 0.2 lower so it can’t kill people in two hits at larger distances than 12m. It’s pretty pathetic ain’t it?

Using the damage reduction values with -10% reduction from Soviet body armor:

They do and with armors they always boost their hp to 15hp which turns german weapons into pistols

RD-44 always kills in 2 hits at 100m exactly like crappy mg42 100 while also being almost as accurate as STG44 while having 100 rounds. Ofc they can get downed more often than MG42 100 instead of insta killed but it’s not a problem as you are way more accurate than MG42 100 while not using bipods.

MP 40 OP pls nerf - it shoots too slow, thats unfair!

Pps43 shoots TOO FAST. It WASTES AMMUNITION.

Fnab is much more superior. Therefore pps43 should be br1 as right now, Soviets cannot compete!!!

  • stock pps43 has advantage in all scenarios against mp40(with exception of 5 meters on 25-30m and 40-45m range)
  • pps43 advantage over players that have no vitality until 45-50m, when mp40 has advantage for some
    10-15m
  • mp40 has advantage in first 18m when against players with vitality, otherwise pps43 has advantage
  • mp40 is at disadvantage when against players with vitality and armor

majority of players and bots dont have vitality on BR2, so pps43 dominates the BR2 meta.
if you are against seal clubber, then it is more than likely that he will also bring body armor alongside vitality.

why are new players less likely to have vitality on BR2?

  • they need to level up squad and unlock level 5 soldier in assaulter 2 squad
  • they need to have soldier with 16+ vitality which is mostly RNG and cant have any perks in vitality tree(except 1 point for soldier with max vitality). assaulters 2 have between 15-17 vitality, so 33% of soldiers cant even have vitality.

also to have even have comparison where mp40 has advantage over pps43, they would also need fully upgraded weapons:

  • they need to level up squad and unlock upgrades (so loads of xp there)
  • they need to earn enough silver to equip squad with pps43/mp40 and then upgrade them. this costs anywhere from 1242 silver with discount to 1820 silver without discount for one fully upgraded pps43. translated into xp this is 11 581xp with discount to 17 014xp without discount for just one fully upgraded gun.
  • new players will most likely upgrade vehicles first which cost a lot of silver and will have none for upgrading weapons

conclusion is that new players mostly will be running without vitality and with non upgraded weapons. pps43 dominates here.
sealclubbers on other hand will run with all advantages(vitality, body armor, fully upgraded weapons). pps43 dominates here.
