IMOP both the M1 and M2 need a little work with sights and hitting power. The M2 definitely needs a little more hitting power. That being said, I would still probably not use it over the T-20 as my primary level five semi auto. If DF made the M1 a little better then I would maybe use it over the Smith Light Rifle that I currently use at level two, and that they just dropped to level one and drop my Smith Light rifles to level one. However, I like my Winchester at level one as well.
Yea I think buffing the gun to double digit damage would be a bridge too far, also would be rather odd considering the assault rifle cartridges are more powerful than 30 Carbine but donât do 1 hit ko damage either.
Thats the problem isnt it? It should be an AR not an SF rifle
M2 Carbine is kinda comparable to assault rifles these day, just with difficult to use iron sights.
I dont know, M2 is definetly a down grade to T20, but I can still see people using it when they prefer laser full auto guns with 30 round mags.
Assault rifles are too weak in this game.
Well, Iâm not against this.
Maybe its stats could be like Hyde? The two things are a bit similar.
You might be right on that, but a hot take for sure!
US Carbines to take the current damage of ARs (9.6) and ARs to get like⌠10.something?
Or maybe all SFs should be nerfed? In that case, the M2 Carbine wouldnât need a buff and the problem of assault rifles being weak would be solved.
I really dont know, in the end its a trooper weapon but performs like a assaulter gun.
30 round mags for BR5 troopers is unique, because select fire guns have 20 round mags.
( Japans Type Hei 30 rounder is still problematic in my mind)
The main problem is that all 20 rounds are one shot, but you have to fire two to three rounds with m2 carbine.
Yes, OP Rifle.
I was indeed thinking about that as well, but we just now got the FG42 buff in damage.
I sometimes feel like all select fire weapons in trooper hands should deal under 13.5 damage, even tho I love one hit kills on guns, very deadly and punishing gameplay⌠tho trooper weapons are the least limited class of gun⌠so after many discussions I started to think one hit kills on them are overkill.
If MGs are not allowed to one hit kill, why should SF rifles?
Also, the recoil should be much worse, so that players use them on semi auto mode like in real life.
I would not combine those two, because if you force players to use them in semi auto, you would still want to have the power to down them in one shot.
I think their damage should be like the SVT40 and G43. Along with high recoil.
realistically it should have been moved to AR cause its cartridge is basically intermediate cartridgeâŚ
Restricting the US M2 even more doesnât make any sense, theyâre common weapons (more than twice as many carbines were produced during WW2 than the Garand) meant for specialists, should be available on all soldier classes, restricting them to only assaulters would do the opposite. Radiomen, AT soldiers, Drivers all should have access to them, in addition to regular soldiers.
you are mixing up your weapons. it may be true for m1 carbine, but m2 carbine only saw battle in last month of pacific iirc.
During the war*
Itâs still true after. The M2 was definetly meant to take on the exact same roll as the M1, so their use and placement should remain the same.
Also, the M1 was easily moodified into the M2, you literally make some cuts here and there and drop in a standard parts kit. Thatâs why thereâs such a thing called a âM2 M1-overstampâ refitted in service.
It has a lot of reserve ammo so you donât need to equip ammo pouch
