No im actually dead serious, the PPSh-41 (Box) is the best submachine gun in the game especially if you run Assaulter 4 with + 24% reload speed and -50% vertical recoil. I wasn’t being saltire, i want all submachine guns to be this way.
Therfore German submachine guns have less recoil since the fire rate is slower, the enlisted resource only lists the recoil per shot. To find the amount of recoil per second, multiply the total recoil per shot by the fire rate, then divide by 60. This is also how you find the Damage per second value.
I was talking about the PPSh-41 (Box) which has 0.21 dispersion, which everyone should be using since there’s no downsides, the small magazine can be fixed with assaulter 4 +24% reload speed.
Alright i guess i have to explain this to you like a 2 year old.
Do you believe in damage per second? Yes? Ok, do you know how damage per second is calculated? Its by taking the Damage per Shot and multiplying it by the weapons Rate of Fire then dividing by 60, because despite what you’ve been told, there are 60 seconds in a minute.
Now that we’ve took the damage per shot and multiplied it by the rate of fire and divided by 60, we have our damage per second.
Now do the exact same thing with the recoil per shot because it happens every time the weapon is fired just like damage per shot…
all smgs, except the American ones, do not have recoil, and the Americans have a more wretched sight design and an absolutely unrealistic 45 acp bullet flight speed.
I didn’t know we were including Intermediate Rifles. StG-44 has nearly half the dispersion of the MP-40 (0.46 Dispersion for StG-44) (0.70 dispersion for MP-40)
I can to, the problem is that the dispersion makes it a gamble regarding time to kill, sometimes it’s fast and accurate, and sometimes you have to magdump the enemy to hit enough shots to kill.
I started with the Moscow campaign so I started with the PPD-34/38 (Box) and stuck with it until I unlocked the next submachine gun (PPD-34/38 Drum) I never used the PPS-42 until the merge since it was only in Stalingrad and Berlin (in Stalingrad I was too busy using the Thompson) Berlin I was to busy using the PPD-40)
it wasn’t until a few weeks ago that I started using the PPS-42, it’s a good gun but it’s in a weird place: lowest recoil per shot and per second, so you’d assume it’s good for long range, but the dispersion makes it miss quite a lot of shots, so you’d assume it’s good for close range, but it’s got the lowest damage per second out of Soviet Smgs. So it sort of does all rolls good but not great.
The German faction has a huge diversity of bolt actions, while the Soviets have just mosin.
Watch the devs change it, by the way, It is legal to own nuclear weapons in the USA…
PPSh-41 (Box has the lowest dispersion out of all automatic weapons in the game, everything else is handicapped compared to it.
A bolt action is still better than the PPSh-41 (Box) at 100 meters, so you will lose if your adversary is aiming at you, 100 meters is completely off the table for all other submachine guns unless you get lucky with dispersion.
Why fire in short bursts? It doesn’t change the dispersion, the recoil is so low with max assaulter 4 perk points and -40% Vertical recoil reduction that the weapons sights wont even pass over the enemys head at 80ish meters if you magdump them.
I try to refrain from ever just simply boiling a conversation down to “skill issue”, but I’m starting to feel like this is just one of those times.
If you UPGRADE your weapon, that alone usually deals with
In addition, the earlier levels of upgrade help with
If you are trying to engage enemies at
Then you are trying to use the weapon… simply, wrong. If you are engaging enemies at anything over 50m with an SMG, I implore you to use other soldiers with other weaponry. At the very LEAST, pick up a bolt action off the ground, which is always covered with them.
PERSONALLY, as I’ve said, I’ve never had the issue, but I also seem to be much more aware of its intended limitations.
