Buff FNAB-43 and M3/M3A1 Grease Gun

I’m not after that much of a buff, but it would be one that is noticeable and welcomed.

  • Increase the fire rate of both M3 Grease Guns and FNAB-43

Why? While they are designed to be slow firing weapons, they fire too slow. I propose that we increase their fire rate by a small margin, 50 or so rpm, so that now the figures will look a bit more like this:

  • M3A1 Grease Gun - 450 rpm (base), 500 - 520 rpm (upgraded)
  • M3 Grease Gun - 420 rpm (base), 460 - 480 rpm (upgraded)
  • FNAB-43 - 460 rpm (base), 510 - 530 rpm (upgraded)

I believe these increases will better balance the SMG tree and will give more meaning to slower firing SMGs, as they are currently overlooked for the “meta”.

I disagree.

If you don’t like slow firing weapons, just use something else. It’s not like there’s lack of weapon options in this game.

But there’s no need to ruin uniqueness of these weapons.

And if anything, if those weapons can’t no longer compete. It means only one thing. Power creep got out of the hand.
And rather than buffing weapons like fnab or m3 grease, overperforming SMGs should get BR increase.

It is that simple. That’s why BR system exist.

I think it is very wrong when there are so many BR2 smgs compared to any other BR.

While I do agree with this statement, I still disagree with not buffing the SMGs. The M3 Grease Gun’s fire rate in real life was actually 450rpm (hence why I recommended that), and the FNAB (as established many times) fired anywhere from 600 - 837 rpm, but since the Beretta M38 (40 round) fills that role, I figured the FNAB should have a slower fire rate (460) since it wouldn’t overshadow Beretta M1 and other Tier III BR II SMGs.

These are necessary buffs, much like increasing the bolt speed of the Type 99 late to 45 rpm.

Technically, the bestestest equipment overshadows always the other equipment.
So I dont see any issues here granting it the say 800rof so it can compete with the uragan that no one asked and no one needed.
Grant it the same dispersion as uragan so its bit different from beretta.

Grease guns are pseudo assault rifles and yet people still prefer to use M1A1 Thompson and Lanchester over them because fire rate in this game is king.
Despite being more accurate than an actual AR, M3A1 grease gun will kill someone slower in medium range than Lanchester because Lanchester will hit the target more often due to its higher rate of fire.

One way to chip down from this meta is by removing the 15% fire rate increase SMGs get.
Instead players should be able to set the fire rate of SMGs that had multiple different fire rates depending on production changes.
example:
MP40: 500-550 rpm.
PPS42: 500-600 rpm.

Or alternatively they could just give SMGs a 15% velocity increase instead.

Not sure about the M3s, but FNAB simply fires slower than it could.

Slow fire rate and good accuracy is the one thing that make the Grease Guns interesting compared to the M1A1 Thompson, no need to “buff” them…

Same goes for accuracy. Since that’s completely artificial stat.

Any smg currently present in the game could get same dispersion as ppsh box.

Too slow it should be 550 rpm at base at bare minimum and it could shoot faster, 600 rpm would be the best to counter pps-42 that is the best smg at BR2 in my opinion.
