Bring back the US M3 GMC halftrack as an event vehicle, & make it into an APC ( BR III )

so, long story short, not many knows that in enlisted, there was the 75 mm halftrack:

( dated back to september 22: Finally )

some time after the pacific campaign was released.

so in today suggestion,

main suggestion

bring back the 75mm halftrack as an event vehicle and make it BR III and make it into an apc.

History:

unfortunately, i do not know it’s loadout. so, i’ll go off and make it similar to the german one:

loadout:

x15 APBC ( M61 )
x20 HE ( M48 )

why ?

we know of it’s existence, and considering that the germans have the sdkfz/9, i think it’s only fair game.

( yes, i’m well aware the M3A1 should be a priority. but i’m not sure if they will put that one as premium as well. so i’m primarily talking about the M3 to be a potential candidate as an event vehicle )

Nice! I’ll delete my post then

Think I’d prefer it as a BR II TD. You know, what it’s made for?
Better for that purpose anyways. We always got more base M3 variants (I’m partial to the one with 2 M1919’s and a .50) to use for APC’s. We also need the T19 HMC, which is an M3 with a 105mm howitzer

i’m not sure.

because that would imply having to switch the sdkfz 251/9 as a td.

and i personally wouldn’t like that.

i do understand that, it was sort of a mistake making tds actual apcs, but at the same time, i found my self enjoying such vehicles and oddities. and the other issue is, such tds wouldn’t be widely used anyway despite being br II. much less br III.

And don’t put this into the Russian’s Army like the other halftrack !

I mean I’m all for some IFV action
As is I’m fine to leave the German one as a mistake and move on. Ain’t hurting me none. I’d rather see the M3 GMC as a TT TD though, and maybe see the T19 HMC as an event or preemie counterpart. As well as add the interwar/early early WWII TD’s and SPH’s of the other nations

This would be perfectly fine with me. Let the German’s have their APC. I’d rather use the M3 as it was designed, and for free
We can find better choices for IFV’s later

It should not be an APC, and the Sd Kfz 251/9 should no longer be an APC and moved to the vehicle slot. These vehicles could not ferry infantry like their original models. They didn’t have any room and weren’t used to

I would also like to see the Ram Kangaroo used by commonwealth nations in ww2 1943-1945

Theres many varients of the kangaroo apc as they where converted for different types of obsolete tanks to convert them into APCs
R

Some where made from Grants and Churchill tanks which the game already has models for so would be easier to modify. some where made from shermans and priest self propelled guns. They had different armaments from 30cal, 50cal and some even had flamethrowers.

The pictures show a ram kangaroo and is made from a Canadian ram tank.

Could the M3 still carry infantry with the 75mm and all the ammo? With the gunner and commander’s location, plus the ammo behind them and all that. I’m not sure tbh.

if the 251/9 which it’s somewhat similar can,

i don’t see how it would be a problem with the m3 gmc.

as far as it goes with coding, anything can really.

but as 1:1 ( since technically both are Tds with magical abilities to carry troopers ) again, i don’t see where the problem lies with.

matter of fact, the bren carrier was a 4/5 crew.

yet it can spawn platoons.

do we wanna go that route of possibilities?.

seems a bit of a double standard if you ask me.

Well i’m of the opinion the /9 shouldn’t have been added as an APC lol, given like 1/3rd of the troop compartment is gun and 1/2 of it is ammo

I hope they change it
