Boomerang or Wildcat?

I have both, I have been using the Boomerang for a long time, but someone told me to practice with wildcat, I haven’t looked back, but there are pros and cons with both.

Boomerang:
Cannons
Bigger Bomb load
Great Turning
But slow?

Wildcat
Terrible bomb load
30 Cals no cannons
Faster than Boomerang
Great Turning

So which is your preference and why please?

It’s not just about max kills, but fun too :wink:

Me personally, it’s the Boomerang, simple, because it is skinned for Aussie’s :stuck_out_tongue:

Wildcat is 50 cals.

Was a favourite early tier from warthunder. Wrecks planes an bombers.

Had no luck with bombs.

None cos I am too poor, did get gold order MiG 3 in Moscow, seems to fight nothing and noone cos there are no planes, sad, so everything with bombs and faster than Junkers is better than pure fighter plane I guess.

bigger bomb load means you can help out more whilst waiting for enemy planes. So boomer.

Boomerang is the better a/c - better bombs, cannon have limited ammo but the .303’s have plenty and still able to kill all Japanese a/c, speed difference isn’t that great IMO.

Do you mean the Grumman Avenger with the two tailgunners, I love that plane, but I was talking about these two fighters.

Yes, bomb load does help, but for dogfighting and general fun I meant, sorry should have been clear.

Boomerang there is no difference in plane performance compared with the wildcat and have the best loadouts of all plane in the pacific

I have the dauntless unlocked in Tunisia and the Pacific. I didn’t buy the Boomerang (though I tested it out and its real nice). I just like the Dauntlessness bomb load and is flight capabilities.
If I had the Boomerang I would probably choose it over the Wildcat.
(Unless they added the Hellcat. Then I’d choose that.)

Ah that plane I call the BUS, but nice bombs though!

I think I will use Wildcat for a bit, the bomb load is pretty poor, but flight characteristics are similar to Boomerang imho.

It’s not just bombs I care about, I would argue that Boomerang has limited cannon ammo, then only 7.7mm machine gun, although ample. Maybe the 12.7 /50 Cal rounds is better as more, so you won’t run out of heavy hitting ammo like the Boomerang

The TBF looks really good. The vehicle I can’t wait to unlock in the Pacific though is the M8.

It’s fast, very light armour too, but I think it is part of premium not campaign, I got it but don’t remember right now.

You mean M8 Greyhound right?

One of my favorite tanks in Warthunder which I stopped playing due to the recent shenanigans.
The Greyhound is a premium yeah.
