Is it still true that shooting down the Bombers is pointless as there is no reward for doing so?
I shot one down the other day and got credit for a vehicle kill. It still seems pretty pointless though since it’s almost impossible to get into position and score even one kill before they drop their bombs.
Maybe they changed that then, afik, before, you got nothing for shooting down the bombers, I am referring to the bomber formations on Stalnengrad
And that was the implied suggestion, that they should be of some reward
I suggest slowing down the bombers’ movement across the sky.
If they move slower, they will be easier to target from the ground with anti-air guns and easier to fighters to catch up and down them.
I would also like for the red markers to appear much sooner for the bombers so I know what direction they’re coming from.
I hope that someone from the development team would read this and post a comment.
Thank you!
You get a whopping 100 points for vehicle kill, the bombers don’t have crew apparently
If it’s a entry attacker plane, like P38 (occupying attacker slot), then you can just ignore it.
Also shooting down a plane is very hard and need luck. Sometimes game just refuse you to damage the plane.
A couple of time I was able to stop the bombing raid with my fighter plane. Shoot at the engine and they slowly go down. Got 500 XP and 5 vehicle kills but my airplane is afterwards so crippled, that you cant fly properly, so it is basically a suicide mission.
I have suggested auto repair when refilling ammunition. Then the Muh Realism Club hit me.
Maybe just critical hits, ok. If you manage to get back to “base”, then you could get a little repair.
But this realism club knows that it isnt real to get an ammo refill in the middle of nowhere, right?
My Personnel feelings is,
The worst faction with opinion are the Muh Realists and the But-in-Warthunder-Guys, Paired with the I-dont-pay-any-Cent-Dudes.
the often shown inability of the developers themselves.
but don’t forget the beta-guys…
F2P unites every garbage gamer.
First time last time for me.
Quite accurate.
