Many tanks have a machine gun mounted on top of the turret for just such an occasion.
Unfortunately, aircraft are the paper to tanks rock. Youâll have to rely on other players to use fighters and aaa guns to stop the bombers

Thatâs kind of the problem here; at most even with AAA and fighters, they can only shoot down maybe 2-3 bombers, which wonât make that much of a difference when the bombs start falling.
I understand that this might not pose that much of a threat to infantry, but it definitely is a huge nuisance and headache for players like me who use tanks more often.
The tools provided to eliminate them are not nearly as effective as they should be and I shouldnât have to spend a majority of the match shooting down bombers. Weird how you think constructive criticism is whining, are you 12?

I guess it sucks for some folks, sure. For me though itâs been a blessing in disguise. I have played every campaign quite thoroughly and adding Bomber Formations is not that large of an issue. Iâm surprised there are no complaints that the He-111 has operational gunners to deter interception, where the Wellingtonâs gunners arenât functional. Mind you, I play Axis Normandy mainly now days, so iâm not trying to make a case to buff Allies, but that one difference is my only nit-pick. Any time I hear âEnemy bombers are approachingâ I just suicide my squad & jump into a Bf-110 and net a quick 5 Vehicle Kills + numerous infantry kills on the strafe directly after. On Allies itâs simple enough to use a P51 or P38-J to intercept He-111âs, but you wonât get out unscathed. Aside from that bit, 100kg isnât nearly as bad what could be 250kg as stated before. And 100lb to the 500lb for Allies, this could be much more cancerous.
tl;dr - There is plenty of counter-play to fight the bombers, just utilize the things given to you and get good at them. Theyâre not that powerful, and definitely not that durable.
After reading this post, I now understand because you are in a tank farming kills and donât want to move away from bomb blast, you want them removed for good, just for you⌠mate you are not really thinking that through⌠No

Well I mean Iâm not just gonna run away in my tank just to grey zone camp while my team dies at the objective; what I want to do is to actively support my team.
Obviously, removing bomber strikes would be too extreme, so just consider nerfing the effectiveness of the bomber formations.
No, seriously how about you temporarily driving out of the circle of fire and then coming back, not about grey zoning and tanks are not immobile, just move out of fire then come back and mg snipe, or hopefully put He on point and help your squadsâŚ
I totally agree with that standpoint; itâs just on certain maps that trying to do that wonât be viable. Of course that wouldnât be much grounds for booting bomber airstrikes, but in the end itâs just a consideration for other people to think about.
Your subject says stop bombing runs, now we get to the point sometimes you can escape that is a good tactical enemy move then, you can always vacate your tank and get your crew in cover, I just get fed up with nerfs because of peopleâs gameplay has to change, nothing personal honest!

Ya, I get there are counters but due to the fact that most of the time you will be the only competent player on the team, itâs pretty much up to you to try and fend off the bombers and control the objective. At the very least until there is a proper matchmaking system the bombers should be removed. Iâve never thought to myself that the bombers were making the game any more enjoyable. Just more fucking explosions and shellshock
Itâs a nuisance that we all have to deal with, which is also piled onto the current issues that still plague Enlisted. I do think that this isnât something that the devs should really be focusing on however - more pressing matters are at hand, like matchmaking and such.

Ok but it doesnât change the fact that these issues are still pressing. I like to play solo on games so for those of us that do these are serious issues. Regardless if Iâm in a group these are things that need to be fixed
Sorry what fixed, bomber spam, build AA, learn to fly, take cover it isnât that difficult, they donât need fixing technically⌠but you are of course entitled to your opinion.
