It’s nice that we finally have the belt-fed Mg 42. Now its about time you add the original German universal machine gun, a belt fed MG 34 to the research tree too!

Nah we don’t need another MG 34 in the tech tree. Would make a good premium squad or event/battlepass weapon.

I would definitely love to see the MG34 with long 100 round belt make an appearance in the game, but I’m not sure if it must be tech tree weapon in this state of the game.
But it could be cool for German subtree.

Nah not kidding. Why would you want 3 versions of the weapon in the tech tree? It would just overshadow the other variants and make them never played.
The three different MG34s are would be on three different BRs so they would be played.
MG34 vs MG42 is a question of preference.

Mg-42 need replace at least for the Mg-34.
But for a NORMAL balance, Mg-08/18 is already needed instead of Mg-42 (100).
Should we remove one of the PPD 34, PPD 34/38, and PPD 40 or the PPS 42 or 43, or the Mkb 42, MP 43, and Stg 44 or BAR, BARA1, BARA2
It’s an iconic weapon and standard issue nonetheless so it should be research tree

While I agree with you, tbf its criminal that all the BARs arent foldered together. Same with the thompsons, and honestly like a solid 40% of most trees could be foldered away.
I’ve always preferred the mg34 over the 42 , but the current 75 round version doesn’t do it justice.
Devs can always make MG42 fire 1200rpm and MG34 more accurate, so there is a reason to choose either depending on your preference.
It does, 75 round MG34 is BR4 while MG42 with 50 is on BR4 and 100 rounds on BR5, not to mention that MG34 is faster to reload!

damage doesnt matter when they both kill with 2 shots against players with vitality(which is meta build on BR5). also it has much better recoil vs mg42 which is more important than 15% ROF difference which isnt noticeable.

Honestly make it different then mg42 like don’t get me wrong yea it’s slower but it’s gotta be different otherwise like most guns it get overshadowed
And give more reasons to give more nonsense stuff to allies factions???
