Rare Pre-WWI Belgian Tirmax Model 1907 Deluxe Semi-Automatic Carbine, NVSN, .32 ACP cal., 22.5" barrel, blue finish, finely checkered walnut two-piece pistol grip stock, sling swivels, beaded cheekpiece, half-round knob pistol grip, blade front and two-leaf Express style folding rear sights, lever extension on the left side of the receiver to manually cock the hammer, and unmarked 5-rd. detachable magazine. There are numerous Belgian proofs and acceptance marks on the barrel, receiver and bolt. The Tirmax was mfg’d in Liege, Belgium by a German company from 1909-1914 and marketed by Franken & Lunenschloss until WWI ended the production. Rifle is in near fine overall condition retaining approx. 91%-93% factory blue finish, with wear at the muzzle, scratches and general thinning of finish. There is scattered light surface erosion and oxidation with edgewear and toning of finish. Stock is very good with dents and small gouges, particularly on top of the comb. Butt ends with a smooth steel buttplate with a widow’s peak top that shows light denting and damage. Buttplate provides a 14.25" LOP. Bore is good with scattered roughness, frosting in the grooves and strong rifling. Action functions well and locks up securely. An interesting Pre-WWI semi-auto displaying fine European styling. Production of the Tirmax is believed to have been limited to approx.
