Battle Pass: Third Season of 2023

Lots of Nations still operated WW1 and pre-WW1 equipment throughout WW2, they were just mere 21 Years apart, that is no time really in peacetime Weapons development. Of course Tanks saw a lot more development in that time, but Infantry weapons not so much, and WW1 weapons can hold their ground against later developed weapons, especially in the Bolt action and Semi Automatic Rifle category.

Imo we should have rng based ā€œjamsā€ during reloads that make them a bit longer (nothing extreme though). Like soldier droping a round when reloading or a garand thumb. It would be quite cinematic and soldiers would be less robotic.
It was already in the game and it made firefights 300% more ā€œemotionally intensiveā€ when it happened.

Additionally Iā€™d add a mid-firing jams that would esentially work like overheat. So if you have a heavy finger and spray full auto everywhere (or spamclick with SA etc.) you will be punished for lack of fire discipline. Firing in bursts and making breaks would esentially completelly prevent jams from happening. (Yes, itā€™s a skill based RNG. Iā€™m a madman.)
This one is a bit controversial but imo with right tweaking it could work well for overall gameplay.

I really like this idea.

Indeed its true.
But we do have those guns, the Mannlicher, the Carcano M1891, Winchester M1895, Lebel1886 and so on.
What I donā€™t like about the BP guns is that they are rare WW1 guns that will probably see a lot of use now because they seem decent so far and a semi-auto gun is a huge boost to a campaign you want to grind but didnā€™t start yet.
Sorry for the rant, I just wish the game would stay WW2 sand box.

Well there was a reason why WW1 weapons were phased out by WW2 (except recycled bolt actions) ā€“ SMGs became way more reliable, controllable and cheaper, MGs became universal and hand-held, semi-autos became mass-produced and easy to maintain.

I would be very, very surprised to see any WW2 combat history, let alone official adoptment, of Farquhar-Hill (no serial production at all) or Mondragon (no deployment outside of Mexico and super limited Germany WW1).

the british homeguard managed to use blackpoweder blunderbusses defending the island, a faquhar=hill isnt far fetched

Jamming should be a thing for MGs

I own a blunderbuss for island defense because thatā€™s what the kings intended.

If devs move their lazy asses and make MGs work as intended, why not.

Another BP season another reason to farm bots as Axis Pacific or Tunisia Allies despite I already suggested various things like removing the penalty for battle heroes on the losing team or reworking/removing the ranking system. Bravo!

crazy as it might sound, I just won 3 battles in a row in Axis Tunisia

Four scallywags board my ship, what the devil? As I grab my powdered wig and blunderbuss, blow a dinner plate sized hole through the first one, heā€™s dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second, miss him entirely because itā€™s smoothbore and nail the captain of a nearby merchant ship. I have to resort to the puckle gun mounted on a pintle mount and loaded with square bullets for Turks. TALLY HO LADS! The square bullets shred two men in the barrage, the sound and extra shrapnel set of car alarms. Draw my cutlass and charge the last terrified rapscallion, waiting on the Coast Guard to show up because you donā€™t come back from a sword in the belly.

Ahhā€¦just as the King intended.
