This rifle was suggested for tech tree but they shoved it on BP
Yeah we wanted it as a tech tree weapon.
People were talking like this is a completely new thing, which made it look better that it is…
And i didn’t say anything about gold profits in my final statement, i was talking generally about the whole package of BP rework been a downgrade.
Some people saw this and thought that the +100 gold per BP was NEW! That’s what i called gaslighting BS there! The wording makes it seem like it’s a new thing, which makes the new BP’s look better that they are!
Getting 100 gold per month instead of 33 (or 0 as some thought) IS an improvement, but it’s the ONLY objective improvement that they have (and it comes with more grind apparently…)
The removal of player agency in choosing what they will get (the gold order BP store) alongside with the massive FOMO factor this creates simply outweigh the little benefits this BP rework gives.
Yes, you get 4 pieces with the paid pass, but half the time you don’t want this gun, and you now are forced to get it, instead of getting a gold order and getting something else from the previous BP you missed bc of work…
So NO, i don’t see the improvement overall…

Backlash again, for the past 2-3 changes. Why bother changing solid stuff/things people didn’t ask for. I partially agree on what devs trying to introduce new content in a new way, but in the same time, create more FOMO to hook people in is not nice.
Current BP
- the system format itself is not bad at all
- Maybe too grindy which could be reduced like what devs are introduced to us today
- More incentive rewards in each levels: bigger silver/exp boost, unique cosmetics, face paints, weapon skins, vehicle decals, you name it. Replaces the 1000 silver, tiny little 50% exp boost.
- More incentive repeatable rewards after completing all BP levels: appearance orders, veteran box, bigger exp boost, etc.
The new format offers less flexibility for players to choose what they want even if they paid for your content? German main have to wait for another 3 months until a weapon of their faction to appear? (if I understand correctly that each weapon season now last for 30 days) They probably skip buying BP until then, isn’t that mean less income for DF?
And please fix your delaying behavior when it’s about announcing something significant. Devs should’ve forewarn us 1 BP before changing anything. I’ve planned to buy a gold Bren 100 to fill my Universal Carrier squad and a gold Royal Thai Army Ha-Go because it came from my country when I get more gold cards in the next season, now I can’t do that anymore.

same thing, allies and soviets have been getting pumped full with new content back to back to back to back yet still have abysmal teams…
i dont know what their goal is here, but it’s probably to increase “balance” between factions.
maybe if they actually listened to the playerbase and implement an XP bonus based on faction population people would play the underpopulated faction.

This BP event format would be great if
- you keep gold order cards and store (as in you still get gold orders instead of the weapon)
half the time I dont want the current BP weapons…I want the gold cards for past weapons I didnt have enough to get

I feel the same way, but - assuming you pay for premium BP (and play it through), you simply get 4 of all of them going forward. I understand that doesn’t solve past weapon issues, but there was not promise to put them in the store again so many that are gone could have been considered history already.

Thats the main thing for me, Im not thinking so much about “removed from store” weapons. There are still dozens in the store I currently I dont have enough gold orders for.
This new system if you are busy, or having a break and miss that weapon months its gone (its basically an event weapon now). Also maybe its a weapon you dont care about. Would still much rather gold orders and the store. There still wouldnt be enough to have them all (unless you have them already/bought them)
theres also some value to having a store full of all these wonderful weapons for players to see and choose. Sort of motivation

Using gold, that GO tank cost <1/2 the price of the Stalingrad access pack that people still whinge about. That got tiring about one hour into the complaining. Years later it’s just broken.
