98% of the games I’ve played since the big update have been unbalanced beyond belief in terms of player rank. No matter what tier of weapons I roll with, the games are usually American silver ranks versus Japanese or German gold ranks.
Matchmaking balance is worse than it was before and it’s not even close. I haven’t been playing as much because of it, but almost every game it’s the same story.
I suspect its swings and round abouts. Atm I see a lot of the players finishing off their Axis trees, so that’s why you’re seeing this. It will flip when these players will move to finish off the Allied trees.
I totally agree.
I only play USA and since the merge its much worse than before.
Germany has much nicer stuff → more people play germany, USA (and russia maybe) are screwed.
Japan just got more nicer stuff → more people play japan, USA is screwed.
Before the merge, if one campaign was being dominated by one faction, you could just choose another.
After the merge, you are screwed since there are no more 6 campaigns but only 4 armies.
And if your army is being stomped (like USA now) there is nowhere to go.
The merge was supposed to fix this, but the problem only got worse.
before the merge you had to choose if you steamrolled or got steamrolled. Atleast now i cannot predict if i win or lose by just choosing an dominant faction
its been like that in the past, best example was the Normandy and Berlin campaigns. The problem emerged when they added the big cats, which were always a solid draw card for the fans. But both campaigns certainly oscilated between either side dominating for a few weeks before players finished their upgrades/tree progress and then settled in for the favourites.
Bruh I just want to play the game as Americans and have a relatively even game on a semi frequent basis. If people are stacking factions to finish off trees then I have to wonder if matchmaking is even a real thing, because it doesn’t seem like it. It feels broken.
I know what you mean, give it a few weeks and then check. I have 3 more vehicles to do on the German tree, and then I’m moving to the Soviets. I’ll do the Armeicans afterwards and I’ll leave the Japanese till last.
Majority of players all moving to the same army/side is the death of this game.
Join them for too easy battles or fight them and get wasted.
“Funny” thing is that the merge was supposed to fix this but it got worse because the choice is now limited from 6 (campaigns) to 4 (armies).
The devs added the US half track as a lend lease premium for the soviets but didn’t even entertain the idea to take the slightest effort to do the same for USA. That right there is a clear indication of their intentions. You don’t even have the capacity to pay for the Half track because USA isn’t qualifying enough to do that in there eyes.
There is no future for the US in this game and they have no intention of changing that if were being realistic.
Russia now has to deal with the fact that German players can grind the tech tree with ease in bot lobbies on Normandy. Eventually this will cause players to gravitate towards the easier route. Germany will get the edge of preference in the long run, and the game will become entirely PvE.
Yeah I might as well just play Germans and start smashing the Russians if this is how they are going to handle things. It’s either that or just continually leaving stacked games to try to find something relatively even.
Germany doesn’t necessarily have “nicer” equipment
Sure, they got StG’s and Tiger II’s. These aren’t some big bad boogey men that’ll instantly ruin any and all games though. We can still push back and defeat them even when they have those. We just need better teammates to push hard and keep pushing the enemy off point
Unfortunately that’s the fact and you might actually have to make a guide so they can learn how to walk or use a keyboard and learn what strategy is at this point
