Axis to Allies tank ratio

What do you think about adding tank ratio in battles?
For example based on time.
In reality Tiger E to Sherman Firefly ratio was 1:2 so in Normady campaing as axis team you can spawn in Tiger E every 5mins, but sherman firefly can spawn every 2.5min.
It would be fair because tiger E campers are very big problem in Normandy. Even if you destroy them they just cycle around and camp again. And tiger E is almost imposible to destroy in Normandy.

Fire fly wrecks tigers.

I played a round of d-day they other night and enjoyed 1 shotting the tigers camping up on the hill

I wouldnt mind different number proprtions…but need bigger play areas for that. IMO

Absolutely NOT a fan of this.

Learn to aim. What’s next m2 carbine squads spawning with 18 troopers instead 9 because stg44 “is op at mid range and i don’t want to flank or use smoke nades”?

I love that when people cry about P-47, every german Mains go to the forum’s thread to spread their hatred for US planes. While at the same time if someone dare mentioning the mighty Tiger in the same campaign, all the german mains will argue that it is balanced and that US tank planes should get a nerf instead.

I am really looking forward to see the same people arguing that King Tiger will be balanced compared to Sherman 76 and Firefly after the merge.

The thing is that you need to put yourself in danger if you want to use the tiger. Any infantry troop can kill an tiger with ease if they just know how to cook the explosion pack. The p47 is completely safe in the sky because the aa is so crappy and you rarely see any messerschmitts in the air that could actually be an threat for it. You need to have some map knowledge if you want to be useful in tiger but the p47 can just shoot the 10 rockets into the general direction of the enemy and get easy 10-20 kills.

Only people who aren’t good with them thinks this.

I dont want to sit 5 minutes in the aa just to kill the p47 once. Killing tanks is way easier to do than killing planes. If i could use my luftfaust from berlin there wouldnt be problem

Well, this is only if you push for the cap, if you stay in the grey zone, like 90% Tiger player, you will be safe from infantry as there is not a single US’s AT infantry weapon that can threaten the Tiger at distance.

This is true, but why? Probably because german players are more focused on Tanks, including Tiger, and don’t bother trying to take a fighter instead to deal with US fighter-bombers.

The same reason why US players won’t bother taking a M10 or 76 sherman to deal with Tigers, sure this tanks can deal with the Tiger. But the Tiger can deal with them as well, and if it angles properly, then it will be easy for it to take out US tanks without being destroyed in return.

German fighters have shit weapons against ground targets. 4 50kg bombs in the g6 no bombs/rockets in g10 and 2 rockets in focke wulf. I have only one vehicle slot and i am not gonna waste it just to get couple of p47s down. Greyzone tigers will get instantly deleted by allied cas by just marking them.

probably because its special unit that is good at one thing and pretty much useless otherwise.
Much like AA guns hardly ever see anyone sit in one thru entire game.

Just no.

But were all firefly on that 1 specific part of them operation? No
They were most likely spread out over the frontline. Same for the tigers but if they wanted they could just redeploy some tigers from somewere else and go toe to toe with the locally available allied armor in numbers or even exeed it.

Just saying this graph says there were more of X so there must be this much more X is easy but fail to live up to reality when one side commits more of them to a fight than the othere.
Given how some maps depict the litteral landings of normandy should be the biggest red flag that just counting total tanks is pointless when you need to ship them across cross the channel first and have the supplys to sustain them.

Then you need to keep in mind that both sides constantly produced/repaired and lost equipment so saying side A had X amount of this and that at this exact time is not that easy to say.

But worst thing is the gameplay application as many german tanks would be hit with 10 minutes cooldown while basicly any allied tank would be 10 seconds at max if you balance it purely around how many were built.

You don’t seem to be taking into account just how susceptible tanks are to enemy fire. It’s not like they can dodge as easily as aircraft.

Against tanks

  • explosive packs
  • other tanks
  • AT soldiers
  • AT mines
  • TNT mines
  • AT field guns
  • Aircraft bombs
  • Occasionally artillery will direct hit and kill
  • Large caliber mortars
  • HMG at the right angle
  • Flamethrowers
  • Molotovs
  • GETTING STUCK

VS

AIRCRAFT

  • Other Aircraft
  • AA (when it actually works)
  • Sometimes MG fire

Those 50kg bombs will destroy absolutely every single US vehicle in Normandy apart from the Churchill (which basically almost no one actually ever takes out) and you get two drops per run. The also shrek infantry blobs, just don’t drop them right on top of each other. Hell, with the 20mms you can also get some strafe kills too

I don’t think it’s a bad idea but I don’t think it’s necessary at the moment. Especially since the d day rework removes the ability for tigers to camp on the hill (supposedly).

Also pro tip, any US tank with a 76mm gun can destroy the tiger from the front by shooting the center of its front hull armor (the flat part). Only works reliably if you’re not shooting at an awkward angle though

Seems too unnecessary and complex, you’d have to first code this whole system then find the documention of the number of tanks at certain battles. I really don’t think this is needed.

Nothing to do with making Firefly a premium tank right?

“109 is shit” they say

And this is against stalinium, on a map where it’s almost impossible to land a good bomb (since there is so much trash everywhere soaking the boombooms)
