They’re fine as they are.
Engineer squads aren’t as viable in BR5 because most automatic rifles aren’t suited for prolonged engagements, so access to ARs make them a point of consideration.
The prospect of a 6-man SMG squad with effectively infinite ammo and the ability to build anything playing around in BR 1-3 is uh… Interesting.

It was made for the vets who already have Assault Rifle’s. Not the newbies
But, I don’t really see too much of an issue of them having SMG’s other than making the lead spam worse

Well. You complained about 6-men autos in low br matches.
No, I was complaining about 6 full auto engineers.
Medic squad can’t even take engineers, nor they cant equip ammo pounches.
