Assault engineer change

Imo premium squads should be reworked to have composition like f2p squads. They will loose on firepower but get huge boost in versatility.
But I guess now it’s too late, as always.

Also it’s not really about SMGs themselves (after all medic squads exist) and more about the best soldier class (engineers) getting a good gun on top. That’s literally the best combo you can have.
I’d like classes to have actual meaning other than a funny icon in the menu.

It would be cool and actually more balanced as it’s just silly how many rules they break when it comes to classes, nobody can take 5x MGs/5x sniper rifles in normal TT squads

I don’t really agree with that as you never really need that many engineers, how often will you be building rallies? On conquest maybe 5 times top in 20min. Ammo boxes are mostly not needed as you have large ammo pouches.
I rarely feel need to use Assault engineers since i will always curse myself for not picking normal assaulters/mg gunners with one AT gunner to destroy tanks, with crappy AT guns of engineer it won’t happen unless it’s some weak tank or you will have perfect side shot but then AT gunner would destroy it even quicker.

I guess? But still, SMGs are assaulter thing, not engineer thong. (Unlike Devs) I want classes to have a meaning.

You don’t really need that many rallies plus APCs are still in the game. You act like you can build 6 rallies with that squad.

Soviets don’t need anything new to keep slaying low BR Germans all they need to use is Uragan smg and Fedorov rifle.

Irrelevant it’s so damn rare that people even use that gun and it’s automatic rifle with much larger bullet so it can’t be classified as smg.

Maybe not an entire 6 man squad then but perhaps an event where each faction gets 4 individual engineers what could use smg’s (like stated only smg’s br3 and up)

any player can eventually get those squads… with lots of silver and luck…
