AS-44 for soviet campaign?

M1 Carbines that had the select fire conversion were infrequently used in the closing months of WW2, but no carbine produced as an M2 Carbine saw service in Europe.

From what ive studied, M2 carbines were available in battle of Okinawa , thats their only major combat situation where they served in ww2

They were also used en mass in the recapture of the Philippines, but small amounts of converted M1 carbines were used pretty much everywhere after 1945.

Except that the AVS saw rather low prod. numbers between 30k and 65k (compared to rifles like the SVT) and was mostly used in Finland and Mongolia. It makes sense to some extent in Moscow but not in Stalingrad and ESPECIALLY not in Berlin. Same goes for the Fed.
The M2 saw mass usage AFTER WW2 and especially not during the Invasion of Normandy.

60k are a lot(compared to mkb/fg42)

At least the FG was used in Normandy and Berlin and Mkb was employed/ tested on the Eastern Front during Stalingrad (Moscow is a different story though).

AVS? Scrapped after Winter War and on the same usage level as the Mkb in Moscow and not historical in Stalingrad and Berlin. Same for the Fed and here it is in the worst campaign historical-wise.

M2 carbine was issued in 1945 but certainly not during Normandy campaign which is why I don’t like it there.

I concur, the Fed would make more sense in Moscow as the Soviets early in the war were low on automatic weapons and would’ve grabbed any Federovs they found in storage.

But again.
If the Soviets do not receive the AVS, then the Germans G41 (which was about the same amount), well, fg42 with other similar weapons and quantity.
Was a lot of STG, so it should be in game.
Well, the panzerschreck (which is already in the editor, as captured) should not have had the Soviets, but the Soviets should still have the most common panzerfaust model.

At the same time, the Germans dont have any SF in Moscow.
Would be fair if the Soviets in Moscow get a more or less historical Sf and the Germans a more or less historical Sf in Berlin.

Soviets could get PTRS at the beginning which is good enough to kill Panzer IVs (therefore only get Fäuste and no Schreck though Schreck is more or less historical) but then Soviets would suffer.

Well if in Moscow SA will have only Soviets it would better for Germany than current situation, when they don’t have SF.
Different between SF and SA bigger than between BA and SA after SA nerf.

Will be suffer only Germans if Soviet get panzerfaust 60 and PTRS, because it will be interesting. Panzerfaust are enough for destroying any tanks in Berlin.
PTRS are multifunctional weapon, what can do any thing(but not make tea :disappointed_relieved: ).
But if panzerschreck get a AP shells, then it will be interesting asymmetric balance.

For unhappy, it is only dreams, DF will not remake their game.

I wouldnt mind Sf only for the Soviets/ Germans as long as its limited to Assaulters and maybe the Engineer or Radio whatever and not to all rifle-based classes.

SF must be only at paratroopers.

Treating the FG on the same level as the BAR is enough as both are battle rifles/ Gunner weapon and maybe scopes version for the sniper.
Only giving it to para squads is difficult. There is only one (free) squad in France and that is a mortar squad and of the two in Berlin is a Flamer squad (and dunno if this is technically possible).

Iirc the gun used to be a gunnee gun in Alpha so it can work here.

Maybe, but i just wanna have a useless paratroopers squad
