By the end of the match the first capture point would get a well deserved post mortem artillery barrage for sure.
Pretty much.
The ârealismâ arguments are, in reality, about wanting realism where it suits them and fantasy where it doesnât.
No game will ever take into account all of the elements that play into real life, and Enlisted will definitely get nowhere close. So balance always trumps halfassing ârealismâ
âI wanted a realistic game, so for a whole week we were digging trenches and fortifying a village, because we were expecting an enemy advance. They didnât come.
Then our command decided they want to straighten the front line, because it was bulging dangerously, so we had to leave the village and march 40km back and dig in there.
Most of us got diarrhea, a few guys caught hepatitis and had to be evacuated. I have yet to fire my gun.
Very realistic, just like I wanted.â
that problem needs AA tanks asap.
Invasion mode is just painful when you are up against bomber and artillery spam from start to finish.
The devs need to fix/clarify the issue of people being instantly killed in a house by bombers, regardless of how well protected they are.
If thatâs a design choice itâs an utterly terrible one.
10/10 post.
I have mixed feelings on those.
On one hand those would be better than AA guns because they have a practical use beyond AA, but on the other it would probably be like war thunder where a plane rolls in and it doesnât even try shooting it down.
Maybe Iâll cave to the halftrack argument after all.
If anything, just making the countdown from the start of the match with the artillery to a minute like the airplanes would help
That was a solution for a separate problem. That was when planes would bomb the spawn itself immediately and wipe the entire enemy team.
Arty could never target the spawn itself, but itâs still a problem outside of it.
Hey, the patch they just dropped literally nerfed artillery.
- Only one artillery strike per team may now be active at any given time.
- Artillery can no longer be activated during the first minute of the battle.
I just saw this, fantastic! Yay
Wow, its a huge nerf Fantastic
I hope its not make Radio squad useless or low-usableâŚdid you tried yet, guys?
hhhnnngggg
yes i have and in my opinion the radio squad has now become useless you have to wait far too long before you can shoot when others are shooting. in my opinion, it was the artillery that made the game interesting. now it has become rather boring the action on the battlefield is missing. translated with Google
nice joke
Oh⌠You see? that was I afraid ofâŚpart by part the game lose the original beauty after every big update. I though (imo) the Artillery damage reduction, and a limited 2 radiio squad per team was good enoughâŚbut now we got 200% Nerf for themâŚ
Aye tried it, it feels that it is balanced now tbh. You use the arty squad to call in 4 times as much arty as any other. However if your entire team picks radio man only one can shoot it. Resulting in some people like to use radio man and not everyone anymore. Feels like another squad in the line up that you can choose when you like it. Instead of a must have for everyone.
For all of closed beta, radiomen had a 3:30 cooldown for arty even within a radio squad.
The spam was never original. It was an attempt to change the squad that went overboard.
Problem is that after maxing out all the upgrades radio squad became useless back then. Every other squad could do the same job with one radioman.
Now, when that squad is composed only of 5 men there is even less sense in using them over some other squad. Basically if you really want to use that squad you need to do exactly the thing that we all hated - sit on the back and spam the button as fast as possible to be the first to drop your arty. And after all you will not even be effective then.
Some changes to artillery were needed. But what we got is a complete overkill imo.
IDK, Iâve adopted a different play style.
My radio-operator calls in arty exactly once (per squad life), and after that it becomes an infantry squad.
Same goes for my mortar men - I fire my 10 shells (2 mortar men on the squad, 20 shells in total), and then fight it as I would with a normal inf. squad.
I invest into upgrading bolt-action rifles first, and my radio-operators and mortar men are the ones who get the the crème de la crème equipment-wise.
The majority of the enemy soldiers are armed with bolt-action rifles anyway, so itâs not like you are at a massive disadvantage.
Sure, but you can just throw radioman into another squad and do the exact same job. Fire arty once and go into fighting. But you will have more, and better specialised soldiers at the same time.
My radio squad was some kind of special force until today. Best V rank soldiers, best fully upgraded equipment etc. I used them to conquer the points and then secure them with artillery strikes working mostly as an area denial weapon. Now I will just take another squad, that will do the job much better.
Overall radio squad is almost useless right now.
