Artillery Cooldown or lack thereof

Arty needs a global team cooldown same as the bombing runs.
There’s nothing more to add.

this is like removing it from the game, at this point just rework the entire mechanic in some other way

Guess you were never here when arty could be called all the time by multiple people at once.

I’ve been playing it since 2020
@47509533 and I would coordinate our strikes every 30s on the dot together while defending Volokolamskovo Village together

It was mega aids
Its still mega aids with shitters calling it non fucking stop to try and get a kill or two because they suck shit at actually playing

Imo we should have some kind of “comander points” that radio operators could spend on calling strikes etc.
Sth like resources for engineers.

it would not be so aids if the shells didnt just perfectly fall in a 10 M radious absolutely destorying everything that is in range, its literally like a fucking orbital strike.

(also making impossible to call it directly on the point should help a little bit with the spam)

Personally I like the suggestion that was put up the other day where only the guys in radio sections can actually call in artillery

Instead of having a radio basically in every section

i am all for reducing damn HE spam… and arty is big problem in this… specially on maps where you entrance to objective is bottlenecked.

If anyone has ever played vurdun, that’s how the artillery should act, not orbital strike perfectly landing in the circle wiping out poor AI bots sitting on the objective in the open.

I remember when they nerfed artillery by making the red circle appear way before the strike started, it made almost impossible to get kills with it but it also made it quite useless as an area denial tool since the enemies just knew that it was basically a “bluff”
As for the arty spam, maybe it is the way I play, but I never really noticed it, to me if a red circle appears on the map I either don’t go near it, or, if it is in an objective, I go prone near an object/wall and pray for the fucked up hit detection to save me
tbh the artillery is the least annoying thing in this game to me

well sometimes you dont have a choice but go through red zone cause enemy is spamming it and you are in bottleneck.

while arty is not most annoying, HE spam is overwhelming in this game and everything to nerf it helps.

I don’t understand why HE artillery doesn’t have the same system as smoke artillery. Draw a line, longer the line the more spread out the shells are, shorter line the more concentrated they are. You know maybe also give HE the same amount of shells as smoke to make them less annoying.
