The problem is the timeframe
the tunisia battle is in the timeframe of america landing in nord africa to support brithis commowealth forces aganaist italy and german army af this point the brithish force start to using tons of american equipment even the continue to use their tanks like matilda and crusader mk2/3 in game this is able to reflect in american unit for campagni low level and medium brithis unit for special squaf and premium
I want Tunisia to be good obviously, but how?
Germoids get the Gewher 41, Gewher 43, Mkb 42, MG-34, MG-42, and other unique guns. Sure some of these could be absent from the Tunisia campaign but the British have almost nothing to compete with these guns.
How is Tunisia going to be fucking fun when the British didn’t have semi-automatic rifles, excluding the Turner SMLE which could end up in the hands of a Premium squad. I think Darkflow is making a huge mistake by having this campaign be British vs Germans. In my opinion they should have done British vs Italians (with some unique German squads including the Fallschirmjager) to prevent the inevitable steamroll which the British are going to face because this game and community are infested with Wehraboos.
What! The British aren’t going to be awful, yeah ok they only have lee endeilds, but semi auto rifles aren’t the only good thing in the other campaigns, I still use Kar 98ks for all my Germans squads and Mosins for my Russian ones and only use the gewher 42 on specific squads and squad leaders. The AI are good at the bolt actions believe it for not. And the British Bren guns and other mgs are all able to compete with the mg42s and mg34 (mg34s would probably be the norm in Afrika). We can see in the other campaigns, like Normandy, how the axis aren’t always the powerhouse and most popular factions, or how soviet and axis players are fairly balanced out on both their campaigns. There’s no reason to believe that everyone is only going to play the axis and that the British are gonna be trash.
Lee-Enfields aren’t going to compete well against players running around with Gewher 43’s.
Okay, so you’re handicapping yourself? I don’t know what level you are but semi-auto rifles unlock at Level 7 for Berlin and Normandy.
If and only if the recoil was scaled properly for a weapons rate of fire, which it isn’t. Both the MG-42 and MG-34 shoot way faster than the Bren and are much more devastating because of Enlisted’s fast TTK. Why would I wanna play as the British and use a Sten Mk. II with a fuck ton of horizontal recoil when I could play as Germans with superior MP-40’s ?
But they will likely be trash and it’s probably going to discourage players from trying out that faction.
Gee… if the Germans are just so good then I bet the Americans struggle really hard to fight them!
Americans already have a fantastic arsenal to combat Germans. BAR1918, M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, M1A1 Thompson, M1928 Thompson, Browning Auto 5, Winchester 1912, the list goes on.
British aren’t going to fair well against Germans when they only have Lee Enfield rifles, Bren Light Machine Guns, and the Sten Mk.II. Sure the M1 Carbine could be an option but it’s already a mediocre carbine right now.
So the M1 carbine is both fantastic and mediocre? “When they only have Lee zen field rifles, Bren Light Machine Guns, and the Sten Mk.II” I don’t see anything wrong with these three firearms, and the developers are also obviously going to find other things to put in there.
I’d imagine they’ll include commonwealth weapons and a few lend-lease guns. The Ross is a given, for example. The Howell Automatic Rifle could be a potential semi-auto option for the British, as it was issued to Home Guard troops. Then you have the M1 carbine which was used to some effect.
Granted, the UK will have quite a few LMGs available as options. Bren, Lewis, Vickers K commando, Browning M1919, and the BAR. The Charlton Automatic Rifle or Vickers–Berthier would be possible premium LMG options.
For SMGs, you’re looking at the Sten, Lanchester, Thompson, and M50 Reising, with the lattermost being the best candidate to be a premium. (unless we institute time travel for the Owen)
Any gaps that are left can be filled with gear from the USA as needed, even though for Tunesia I’d rather see an emphasis on commonwealth gear even if it is somewhat out of place over more US gear, personally, as I doubt we’ll see it otherwise, and I’m sure we’ll be getting more campaigns focusing on USA gear with an eventual Pacific and Battle of the Bulge campaigns.
Nah ross rifle… I honestly have no idea why it’s in the game. But yes exactly, this is why British guns are capable… and everyone who says “oh the British will be far inferior than anything german” are just stupid.
Hei italian held 3 days the butt of rommel after montgonery make the Afrikakorps retreat for km in my opion are the german being stormrolled
Another grind of Germany with pretty much same weapons…yay, so damn hyped…
May be in the future they add subfaction like italy for axis and commowealt for allaies
