AP is nice if you want to camp a bit. I often use them to protect my backs when I play with MG as bots are totaly worthless in deffending me.
I agree⦠I was referring to practicality. Itās one kill max. I agree there is also an aspect of alerting you to enemy presence once they trigger the mine, and maybe in totality once you kill the player, he respawns in a next bot so you know they are coming and from where. But ultimately tank is a bigger prize. Though a drawback, itās much harder to achieve. In 1500 battles for me, Iāve been blown by an AT mine only twice or three times.
I donāt think thatās a fair statement, given the fact that the game creates artificial choke points that forces tankers to drive through them or camp in grey zones, does not make one stupid.
For those tankers who want to try and maneouvre and provide greater value add to the team by bringing more effective fire to bare will knowingly risk running over mines or being detpack spammed - thatās the way the devs made the game. There are very few tactical maneouvre choices for tankers on claustrophobic, ridiculous elevation change, and clutter based channeling maps.
I concur with the broader sentiments as well AP mines will give you a greater bang for your buck, the AT mines are more map dependent as you try to seed the choke points. They are super nasty in end stage games where the winning team can respawn spam a minefield at the tank exit points onto the map. There are also players who will rush the greyzone exit choke points and do the same. Which then reinforces the āstay in the grey zoneā mentality.
a tanker literally drived to the front door of the objective, i placed an AT mine right there bc the retard did it before 2 times.
he exploded
There are lots of explanations, starting with the fact that he might have been in the gunners seat with the associated tunnel vision which afflicts all the tankers to a greater or lesser degree. He might not have even seen you drop the mine and was more worried about getting detpakād at which point any mobility is the reasonable alternative.
or maybe was just an idiot that didnt have any idea of what he was doing an simply drove randomly like 90% of the playerbase of this game.
I tend to give ppl the benefit of the doubt and save my salt for the devs and their irrational decisions/choices.
